This meeting marks the start of a busy period for the Hammers, with 10 meetings in 20 days.
Lakeside team should be:
1..A Jonsson 2..L Lanham 3..A Shields 4..J Kylmakorpi 5..J Davidsson 6..R Kling 7..L Tomicek
But I haven't heard anything on Lanham's progress after he withdrew at Brandon on Monday, so if he's not fit it'll be R/R for him.

Davey Watt guesting for Hampel, who's ill. Yes, of course he is. I wonder if he'd have been ill if Ipswich weren't allowed a guest. Just another illustration of what a complete and utter shambles British speedway is.

Just another illustration of what a complete and utter shambles British speedway is. But he's Polish Subedei (obviously not one of your favoured ones then ) Just got back from the meeting, and our Super Witches did us proud, along with Schrammy who worked hard for his points, and IMO should have taken either or both of Johnno/Miskowiak's last rides....oh sorry of course Johnno won his last race, when the meeting was lost..... tut tut Badge, what are you thinking of . It seemed that Swidders and Tobi took on those pesky 'Ammers all on their own, good night for our Super guest Adam too, and the rest of there team solid after heat 1's surprising 5-1 to the Witches ;D

If only we could clone Swidders & Tobi - another great night for them both. Davey wasn't quite as impressive as I expected and I think a fit Jarek would have scored more. Schrammy certainly tried very hard and looked much sharper than the other two who should have been sent to the showers at the earliest opportunity - waking up for heat 14 is not an option in a team who are still aiming for a playoff place

Good to see you again tonight Badger, and I hope you enjoyed your debut down at the side of the lake?
As you say, your team gave us a good match tonight, and young Mr Kroner was very impressive...........hope to see you in the play-offs.

I think a lot of the Hammers fans though it was a ploy with Jarek - I can't quite understand why as he's that unusual character - a Pole who actualy doesn't appear to mind Lakeside! He's had just two visits there this year with us - the first he scored 11, the second only 4 but he had literally minutes before the meeting been given the news that his Mother in Law was seriously ill so is hardly a genuine test of his scoring powers. Without question JL would rather have had Jarek in the side than any guest.
