Ok, I will. Nicki screwed up bigtime in his last two races, but as Denmark are so strong, it did not matter a jot! Did it not . At the point where the evil Dane " screwed up " , Denmark were only two points ahead . Up until that point Iversen had been awful , so the Danes couldn't have been confident about him coming good in his last heat . Ironically enough the inclement weather probably worked against the home side as the track was unpredictable and the riders were struggling with it . The best team in the world won this tonight , but the Poles deserve enormous credit for pushing them so close and the Swedes must be rueing the dreadful start they made . But why do you refer to Nicki as the "evil Dane" yet not refer to Gollob as "the evil Pole" Both are tough uncompromising riders, and Gollob over the years has been equally as controversial as Nicki!

It happens to some sportsmen , in the twilight of their careers , that they hit a purple patch and all of a sudden they become really popular . Yes Gollob has participated in his fair share of evilness in his time , but is now in that popular period . Evil Dane , on the other hand , is still pure evil .

Lol! Too biased to be true! Not at all . I've no great love for Poland or it's domestic speedway , with the adverse effect it has on our own leagues . I wanted Australia to win . But it doesn't stop me appreciating how good a rider Gollob is and has been throughout his career . I can also appreciate the evil Dane when he does something outstanding on the track , but his doesn't stop him from being the Prince of Darkness though .

Interesting comment from Hans about his Peterborough team-mate not being supposed to win that heat to prevent the Polish tactical ride. Yeah..... I thought that. Hans mentioned it 2 or 3 times!! I think there was a bit of tension between the two of them after that - Hans' comment "Bjerre should have held back for 2nd place, but he wanted to win the race" was quite definitive ! Great result - wanted the Danes to win !! My prediction for 1st and second was right ! My prediction.... 1.Denmark 2.Poland 3.Australia 4.Sweden
