Here we go again, with young Wacks choosing the winner this time, so Mr. Lynch's performance over the next few days will be under deep scrutiny.

Apparently caught out because the track is slick a) tracks are usually slick these days b) learn to ride slick tracks and set your bikes accordingly, how fucking difficult a concept is that strange filter on this site, I put "c h u f f i n g" difficult and something totally different comes out

I briefly thought that Ollie Allen was going to redeem himself, but nope, not a chance. If that shower are our Coventry track specialists, then I despair. Still, look on the bright side, at least we've not got to look at Middlo wringing his hands and making lame excuses.

I would like to nominate the completely witless Simon Stead as Flapperjack Of The Week.
I haven't seen a rider put in such a poor performance in a British racejacket for a long time. He didn't look interested and his concentration was terrible - with the flapperjack locking up every two seconds.
He should never be allowed to don a British bodycolour again. He is a disgrace to our country.

I'd like to nominate Team GB. Reason is spectacularly obvious. One bright note, I didn't hear Jim Lynch make any excuses. He didn't allude to the injuries suffered by Nicholls or Harris in the last 3 weeks, nor to the fact that Stead or Allen may have broken a fingernail at some point in the last year. For that I am truly thankful

I have to nominate the five riders representing the Czech republic tonight . Imagine the embarrassment of being relegated to last place behind that joke British quintet tonight . Hang your heads in shame messers Dryml , Rymel , Kus , Sitera and Tomicek - how will you ever live this down .

And to be fair to the Czechs, they were without their undisputed No. 1 and only GP superstar, whereas Team GB were at full strength.

I'm going to get myself a Russkie flag for Thursday!

I have to agree Genghis, R/R might just have seen them through tonight.
