It has been confirmed that the "mystery" rider due to be Glasgow's first signing for 2009 has been confirmed as Peter Juul Larsen - he signed the contract ahead of today's meeting with Rye House. Taken from: users.boardnation.com/~easy_tiger/

Well...Glasgow fans should be pleased with their new signing. He looks the mutts nutts this lad.
Can gate, looks smooth on the bike and got a good style too. My only snag with him was he just wouldn't move off the white line at Kirky Lane tonight.
Peter finished 4th tonight with 12 points.

I would have preferred it if we could give him 6 home and 6 away to get a proper average for next year , but that wont be possible as the lad has other engagements . Looks like we're going to have a young team next year and it also looks like the building blocks for some sort of arrangement to include Glasgow in the Belle Vue / Tarnow arrangement .

With old baldy (Pairman) having a foot in both camps I don't see why Glasgow can't be included in the Aces/Tarnow arrangement. If the Junior Meeting was filmed I'll get a copy of it for you and you can see Peter in action yourself. Sound ok?

Forgot to mention that on Wednesday Peter clocked the fastest time of the night. 61.2. There have been a few heat 2's at BV this season that have ran slower than that.

Sorry Paulco.
No DVD's of the Junior Championship on sale at BV last night. However there was a Programme on Channel M tonight which featured a few heats from it and your new lad was featured. As soon it's online to view I'll post a link. You'll have to sit (or just fast forward it) through about 15 minutes of stuff relating to Belle Vue though.

When i was a teenager in the late seventies , a few of us that stood together at Blantyre would sometimes go down to Hyde Road on a Saturday night . Happy days .

Wonder if glasgow are about the reconsider the wisdom of signing this lad..... And will Peter Juul Larsen be the new "invisible speedway rider"? He's contracted to Polish club Unia Tarnow and they seem to be "bigging up" his preparations for the new season: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/02/05/peter-juul-larsen-planujemy-wyjechac-na-tor-tak-szybko-jak-s/Unia Tarnow are not a club that mess around. They are the club that infamously refused to allow Janusz Kolodziej to ride for Reading for a period during the 2007 campaign. And they were recently involved in a major argument over Peter Ljung in Poland. Ljung signed a contract for Rybnik in 2009, but Tarnow claimed he had a pre-existing contract with them for 2009. The controversy was eventually settled in Tarnow's favour.

There is the odd Friday these Polish nuisances race league matches , so like EL Bobby last year , he could turn out then . Anyway he's our rider - so fuck Tarnow .

I haven't seen any Friday fixtures planned over in Poland for 2009, but I could be mistaken.
