What a motivator ;D
Panthers manager Swales tells riders: Stop riding like girlsPANTHERS manager Trevor Swales has told his riders to 'stop riding like girls' if they want to climb the Elite League table.
Panthers face a difficult away test at Belle Vue tonight – the Aces are led by British GP hero and former Peterborough favourite Jason Crump – and need to leave some demoralising recent displays behind them.
The city side have been beaten in both their most recent home meetings and fell away tamely after a decent start when going down 54-38 at Ipswich on Thursday.
Swales said: "I have found myself questioning how much we actually want to win lately because there seems to be a lack of determination and grit.
"That has to stop and we have to get ourselves out of this rut because we are in danger of just going through the motions.
"We need to find a way of getting everyone to click on the same night."
Panthers have called on hot Premier League property Andrew Tully to guest at reserve tonight.
Tully has been in splendid form for Edinburgh this season and is drafted in by Swales with regular number eight Ty Proctor unavailable.
Mystery surrounds the future of Henrik Moller whose 28-day suspension for witholding his services has now been completed.
Moller decided to take a break from British speedway after a nightmare start to the season but he is now understood to be injured.
Swales added: "Henrik was taking a break from British speedway and as far as we are concerned that finished yesterday.
"The problem we have now is that we are hearing Henrik picked up an injury riding in Denmark and is currently on crutches, although the rider has not been professional enough to let us know the situation himself.
"My attempts to contact him have come to nothing."
Belle Vue were beaten 56-37 at Eastbourne yesterday when Crump smashed the Arlington track record.
