It appears that Belle Vue have fallen foul of the SCB over their team line-up in a couple of fixtures:
At the Elite League meetings involving Belle Vue v. Swindon (9 July) and Belle Vue v. Ipswich (23 July), it transpires that the Belle Vue line-up did not comply with the speedway regulations.
Billy Forsberg was injured the previous weekend and to cover his absence the No. 8, Joel Parsons, was used to replace him in the team, contrary to the speedway regulations.
As Forsberg had not yet ridden for Belle Vue, no facility was permitted as per SR 18.1.4.2, which states: 'No facility is permitted to replace a rider, who although declared, has not made an appearance for that team'.
SR 18.1.5.3 (a) states that if no facility is applicable, then in the Elite League that team's No. 8 may be used, but only if the No. 8 has a PL CMA of 6.00 or less.
At the time, Joel Parsons' PL CMA was 6.72.
Even with the issue of the new CMA’s applicable for August, Parsons will not be eligible.
As a consequence, the result of both meetings where Parsons was used are amended.
9 July: Belle Vue 34 Swindon 56
23 July: Belle Vue 49 Ipswich 40

So, what the fuck do the SCB have against Belle Vue? What about the Reading fixture at Ipswich on May 24th, 2007, when the Bulldogs used an illegal guest to cover the missing Greg Hancock? That seems, like so many things connected to Reading, to have been swept under the carpet in the desperate bid to keep Reading going.
