Following last weeks yawnathon between Eastbourne and Lakelustre Sky chiefs have been scratching their heads to find the answer to people falling asleep during EL matches . The obvious solution is what is happening tomorrow night in the Belle Vue v Swindon meeting . The messiah is guesting for Swindon . Yes Belle Vue thought it couldn't get any worse - then this . So forget Corrie tomorrow and give yourself a treat - the messiah is on the telly . ;D

Hopefully he'll resist the temptation to do his "party piece". Or is that what's going to liven up the usual dreary Elite League fayre?

I can only assume you mean Rosco has tempted Jimmy McMillan out of retirement Paulco? And talking of Jimmy McMillan calls to mind the time he and the legend that was and is Bruce Cribb were together in the Berwick side. Must've been 1984 and 1985, before "Cribbie" shuffled off to finish his glorious career at Exeter. Bruce Cribb returned to the cruel, crazy town a couple of weeks ago for the sadly postponed 40th Season Celebration and there was a photograph of him in last night's programme. The hair's a bit greyer, but he still looks the same. As for Doug Wyer, also there and with a photograph in the programme last night, he looks younger than he did when he was riding.

I can only assume you mean Rosco has tempted Jimmy McMillan out of retirement Paulco? As great as Jim McMillan was , he was only voted third in a poll of greatest ever Tigers last year . He finished third behind Steve Lawson and the messiah Shane Parker . How Charlie Monk wasn't in the top three baffled me , but probably reflected the average age of the voters .

Quite pleased with Shane's contribution tonight . Belle Vue are truly awful though - doubtful whether Swindon will have an easier away match all season . I think the referee needs a big pat on the back though for excluding Andrew Moore in Ht3 . I've been at meetings when this sort of situation has arisen and instead of excluding the rider that's locked up i've seen referees exclude the rider laying down his bike because he was sure the other rider was falling . There is no doubt Simon Stead was impeded in this instance , and despite what Mr Rossiter might think , the referee was spot on .

Ah Steve Lawson, I remember him visiting the Garden of England and smashing our track record many years ago - he was a Comet at the time though.

Came from Maryport , but only rode for the Comics for one season before becoming a Tigers legend . Rode for us from 1978 till 1992 . Never get that nowadays . ;D
