So this week see's the return of 'white liner' Tomas Suchanek to the STMP aswell as for Middlesbrough rider Mark Lemon. If the sun is out, Suchanek will gate but if not it wont be a pretty sight for Racers fans.
Byron Bekker guests for the injured Dan Giffard with R/R continuing to be used allowing Bekker, Auty, Bugeja and Proctor to all take an extra ride.
Should be a decent meeting, espescially the all action Ostergaard going up against Havvy and Grievesy. Reading dont have the strength at reserve that Kings Lynn had last week so the Bears have a good chance of coming out on top in the battle between 6 and 7.
Teams:
Redcar Bears
1. Gary Havelock (C) 2. R/R 3. James Grieves 4. Byron Bekker (G) 5. Ty Proctor 6. Josh Auty 7. Scott Richardson (G)
Reading Racers
1. Mark Lemon (C) 2. Chris Mills 3. Ulrich Ostergaard 4. Tomas Suchanek 5. Tom P Madsen 6. Jaime Smith 7. Nicki Glanz
Prediction: 50-40 to the Bears. Ostergaard will do well for Reading with good back-up from Lemon but i think that the Bears will take a few heat advantages in the races without them.

I can actually see an away win here, marron. Byron Bekker is a poor choice of guest at number 4, while the Racers look solid throughout.
Bears 43-47 Racers.

Arlo Bugeja broke his wrist last night and is replaced by Scott Richardson.
So that is 2 broken wrists, a broken leg and Greg Blair who broke just about everything. Add to them the niggling injuries and the injury crisis what has hampered us since we started up again is showing no signs of letting up.

Madsen's not fully fit - skinned his arm at Edinburgh last weekend. Ostergaard tinkering with engines after blowing his favoured one last weekend. Suchanek has averaged just over 3 away from home this season - scored 9 points from 12 rides in our away fixtures last weekend.
Wouldn't bet against Redcar romping home tonight. Don't think we'll get a pasting, but don't think we'll get an away win either.

Another disappointing night for the regulars at the STMP as Reading take three points back to Royal Berkshire with them (42:48) in spite of three Bears scoring 37 points between them. Yes, the Bears were well served by Messrs Havelock (12+1 from 5 rides), Grieves (12 from 5 rides) and Proctor (13 from 5 rides), while the other three scored a miserable 5 points between them. For the Racers, who recorded just 6 heat wins all night, I think we need to look first at their reserves, who really went to town against the hapless lower order of the Bears, with Jamie Smith scoring 7 from his 4 rides and Glanz 5+3 from his 4 rides. The main body of Reading's team were all generally among the points, with Ostergaard (12 from 5 rides) the standout, although he seldom had an answer to Redcar's top three.
