No surprise, been whispers going round for weeks about this happenening.
8 rain offs so far this season have dealt a massive blow to the clubs finances but hopefully a buyer can be found.

Glyn said tonight that he has had 'several' offers from potential investors today......and he is sure the future of the club will be ok.

Fingers crossed someone can come in to help and keep the club afloat. It's been reported that Taylor is looking for around £20,000........ is that right, can a PL outfit really be bought for that sort of money?

Don't think that is to purchase the club Kev, think that is just investment IN the club to help to keep it going. I'm sure Taylor purchased it for about £189,000 or something similar

And the fact we get 1000+ people every week, have companies/people already signed up to sponsor every home meeting this season (including the cubs), have a fair track.........
The list can go on.

Redcar Bears club owner Glyn Taylor has confirmed that talks are taking place with two interested parties for the acquisition of the Speedway rights at the South Tees Motorsport Park from season 2009. One is a consortium led by Bears team boss Brian Havelock and involves several local commercial contacts. The other is a credible figure in the sport at national level who has declared that he would plan to retain the current management team under all circumstances. There has been speculation over the future plans of Director of Operations Gareth Rogers, who was a main architect of setting the club up in 2006, and Glyn Taylor himself. Said Glyn: 'I have had an offer on the table from Brian whilst I am scheduled to meet the other party to discuss the level of his bid on Wednesday. Obviously I want to resolve matters as soon as possible to both kill speculation and to inform the BSPA of the latest developments with the annual Conference imminent.' www.redcarspeedway.co.uk

Everyone has known about the Havelock's being interested for a while now but i haven't a clue where the other interest has come from.
