Sorry Jive, I won't back down on this one. That member of staff was incompetent, lacking in care, lazy, thoughtless and a disgrace to the rest of the rail staff of Cambridge station. The management are just as guilty for letting him get away with it. And if you want to pm me I'll give you a description so you can pass it on if you want, cos he was a disgrace to you and your colleagues. I've never known you to back down before so would not expect anything other than a rant Problem at Cambridge station is currently they have recruited a lot of new station staff, hell I don't know half of them But basically they are given a hv jacket, a radio badge told to follow him/her for a week then chucked into the deep end, I like to blame the management so that will do for me. Don't really want a description cos a) I'm not gonna do anything about it as I work for a totally seperate company and b) They are not my colleagues, traincrew are

It looks like the Polish Ekstraliga is intending to run fixtures on Friday 20th June, 2007. I would like to second Sub's nomination for Polish Speedway for holding a set of league fixtures on a Friday.

If there is a fixture clash , then surely the spiritual home of speedway ( i.e. here ) will take preference over a mickey mouse , fly-by night foreign league .

Okay, I have a nomination. Actually I have three. Firstly whoever decided it was a good idea to put those horrible black things in rice at Asda - not only do they taste like nothing I've ever eaten before, they also do a pretty good job of getting stuck in your fillings. (I actually fed these things to the kids once and the look on their faces was priceless.) Secondly I'd like to nominate my microwave, which manages to only cook one side of whatever you put in it, meaning it's either freezing cold or scorching hot. And thirdly I have to nominate myself for deciding the best way of checking which temperature the microwave had decided on today, was to stick my tongue in it (the food, not the microwave.) And yes, I burned my tongue.

Paulco - that's exactly how it should be. British is best.

Errr get a new microwave ;D It IS a new microwave. ;D Schumi - did it have any kind of warranty? If so, I'd send it back. And I reckon it must be a Polish or Swedish microwave - you wouldn't get a British microwave playing up like that.

Seems that Crump is picking Poland over Britain on Friday, June 20. So I would like to nominate:
(1) Jason Crump. He's always claimed to be loyal to British Speedway, but clearly that is bollocks. (2) The Poles for holding fixtures on a Friday. Friday is a British racenight, not a Polish one. They should be grateful we've given them Sundays.

The Polish fixture has been listed lone before the British one.

The BSPA should insist that Crump rides for Belle Vue at Coventry or face the consequences.

The BSPA should insist that Crump rides for Belle Vue at Coventry or face the consequences. So your nomination should be for the Polish authorities alone, not Crump. It's hardly Jason Crump's fault
