And a win for the home side, 50:43. Richardson never used to be my favourite rider, but he's really made an impression on me lately. Bollocks to what Czestochowa think.

Should be a close match this one but one we should win. The Crump/Nicholls races should be worth the admission money alone....heat 15 of the 'A' fixture was. I think Belle Vue will win this 48-42.

Bollocks to what Czestochowa think. To be fair, Czestochowa do have a point............after all, what kind of numptie accepts a guest booking, then on the day of the meeting sends a text declining said booking..............oh yes, and then turns his phone off.............Bollocks to Richardson is what I say!!!

Should be a very close meeting, which could be decided by whichever pair of ropey reserves does best. But a defeat here would deal a heavy blow to Eastbourne's chances of making the end of season play-offs.

But a defeat here would deal a heavy blow to Eastbourne's chances of making the end of season play-offs. Of the 2 pairs you'd have to say BV have the better pairing simply because of time on the track although in Raun's case it would be time spent on the deck. Gustaffson had one good in ride in the 'A' fixture and was very average otherwise. Has Brundle ever ridden BV before? Simmons could do well tomorrow. He did ok against Lakeside and it's a shame he was up against Kylmakorpi in heat 2. Raun will need to buck his ideas up seeing as Boxall is due back in 3-4 weeks. If BV decide to keep him over Simmons (going off recent form) you'd have to say we're one of the favourites to be in the Play-Offs at the end of the season..........the relegations ones that is.

No idea which thread this should have been in, but clearly it wasn't this one. www.british-speedway.co.uk/news.php?extend.1564Jankowski suffered a broken collarbone in Belle Vue's win (48:45) over Eastbourne. He's not having much luck this season, is he?

Think that was meant to be in Eastbourne v Swindon But I do agree about Richardson, I didn't want him in the team, but I was wrong. As for this meeting, our reserves are finally better than someone elses and we still lose Anyway, well done Belle Vue.

I'll be getting a DVD of this meeting and if anyone wants a copy then let me know because this meeting had it all. New track record, passing, good close racing, crashes, controversy.
The scoreline flattered Eastbourne TBH because they were always going to be 8 points down until the injury to Jankowski and the 8-1 in heat 14 was inevitable.
Heat 1 and I'm not sure what Lewis Bridger was doing but he just simply didn't turn the bike and clattered into Nicholls, who didn't go down contrary to other reports, and then clattered into the air fence. Credit to Crump for laying the bike down. Not too sure what happened in the re-run as Forsberg was at the gate when his exclusion light went on. No point sticking a reserve in with only 3 riders in the race. Forsberg was actually gaining ground on Nicholls but was never going to pass him. Watching the race Crumpie didn't look any faster than usual but when the time was announced the crowd went crazy. Couple of decent races here and there up until heat 9.
It seemed like a nothing fall from Lukasz but with Brundle so close behind there was nothing he could do. James got the bike down really quickly but couldn't scrub the speed off and clattered into Jankowski. I really felt for James as it wasn't his fault and I am not too sure what caused Lukasz to fall. Lukasz was on the track for ages and one of the paramedics posted on the aces forum that he was in so much pain he wouldn't let anyone touch him. Lukasz had to be sedated and then we had to wait for the ambulance to arrive to take him to Manchester Royal Infirmary. The link in Schumi's post seems to confirm the extent of his injuries.
Racing resumed at around 9.50 pm and I'm pretty certain that Belle Vue has a 10pm curfew so we did really well to get 7 races in even though the meeting didn't finish until around 10.15. Heat 10 was a belter. Lee Richardson made a blinding gate and held Crump off until the last bend of the last lap. Crump lined it up on the outside and gave it a big handful of throttle to fly past Rico and get the win on the line. Joe Screen produced a super ride in heat 11 to hold off Nicholls and Bridger who were all over him. IMO Lewis should have moved aside and let Scott challenge and maybe Scotty would have passed Joe but it took a lap and half for the Eagles to sort themselves out before Scott went after Joe. Heat 14 and Nicholls had caught Simmons coming out of the second bend but didn't pass him until entering the first bend of the second lap. Full credit to Jonas Raun, who I have been critical of recently, who held Scotty up until the back straight of the last lap and then further credit to Woodward, who was so far in front, for slowing down to let Scott take the win.
Heat 15 was another great race. Lee and Scott gated but didn't sort themselves out. This allowed Crumpie to do one of those do or die manouevres where he went right through the middle of them and kept it wound on round turns 3 and 4. Scotty gave good chase and almost repassed Crump. This must have fired Charlie Gjedde up as he set off after Rico and flew round the outside of him on lap 2 for the 4-2 and a 48-45 Aces win.
Superb meeting and please prepare the track like that every week.
