The Aces & their mercurial leader Jason crump are in town tomorrow. Hopefully a better return from The Bees than their last visit & of course as The Aces are currently the only team we race this month this match may be a good pointer to the K.O Cup tie.
No news at present on Olly or Andreas Messing.

I don't think we'll get a draw this time. Coventry will win by about 10-12 I reckon. Our reserves (or one of them at least) will let us down. Forsberg and Jankowski are just coming back from injury though and won't be as good as they were last (though Lukasz had a few of his points gifted).
Heard a rumour Olly Allen and Andreas Messing are back for the bees. Any truth in the rumours?

Local paper says Messing is expected back, Allen possibly back depending on practice he is doing to test fitness. Thats as much as I can tell you at present.

This finished in a 52:40 win to Coventry, but was marred by Olly Allen's withdrawal on his return from injury after a clash with Charlie Gjedde. Reports on the Coventry website say he walked away "relatively unscathed", so that's good to hear.

Agree with you Schumi that is good to see Olly was only shaken up. Apparently an apology was given to him By Mr Cheese which is also good to hear but as much a admission of guilt. No hard feelings.

I updated this meeting on the updates site and 3 times Silver Bee called me because it was too much to put into a text.
Heats 3 and 10 required calls and an after match call to apologise for the comments about Gjedde (and now in true fast show style) which was nice.

The Edinburgh updates, which I occasionally help out with, are all done with telephone calls, which I find much more civilised.

It was nice to actually speak to someone whilst updating but the calls I took were frantic and Silver Bee was very animated in describing what went on in heats 3 and 10........nice of him to call back at the end of the meeting and apologise for being harsh on Gjedde.

And here's the controversial heats that have been causing much argument at the BSF, starting with Ht3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFMHJ3AIFeII really don't think Jankowski does too much wrong there - not sure what Schlein and the Joke are getting so worked up about. And here's Ht 10: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXNwO_BIIK4And I don't think Gjedde does too much wrong there either - poor decision to exclude him if you ask me.

The clip of Heat 10 is not really conclusive, an angle from the 4th bend would have shown more clearly what occured, nudge, nudge.
