Much has been made of the East of England Showground and Peterborough Speedway finding it difficult to agree on dates.
Have the speedway promotion considered staging a couple of 'double headers' like we used to see in the past?
An example could be Peterborough v Ipswich (EL) followed by Peterborough v Lakeside (KOC).
Naturally they would have to raise the normal admission prices (maybe £20?) but I'm sure in these days of high fuel costs, many travelling supporters may be tempted to go for something like this.
Your thoughts..............

I would imagine the EoES would class it as two meetings and charge double rent for starters Still got a problem with getting a date and time from the EoES because 2 1/2 hours for two meetings is too tight. How much would the promotion lose on the double header? If it's a double programme then season ticket holders are £10 + £2 down compared to two single matches? Rather than a small sticking plaster we really need to deal with the wound

What actually is the problem with the EoES and the speedway, surely this is all negotiated before the season starts, and dates agreed (with rain off alternatives etc), this happened last year as well, are they only booked on a week by week tenancy or something??

It seems simple badge but since the administration changed it has just got progressively worse. Whether they really want us there or whether we're there for convenience (think they need a motorsport licence for BMF/Truckfest etc ) it's hard to tell but hopefully this will deal with some of the issues: around june 3rd watch out for a press release, in the papers and on tv, i think this news will put a shining light on our season Folks just to let you know, that due to some legal technicalities, there will be no announcement tomorrow. Apologies for this, and we hope to be in a position to make this important announcement in the very near future. the same day that pooles paper said that panthers and wolves were in talks with KK, but got no further.....2 and 2 togther = 5, or am i thinking right? No, you're not. This is not a team/rider announcement.
