By the Joke I take it you a referring to Billy Janniro...? Yes, I am. Janniro has made his bed, he can lie in it. A rider with a reasonable amount of talent, who seems quite content to underachieve and have a laugh. He reminds me, in some ways, of the younger Dave Norris.

Held back from writing a report on last night due to piss funny comments from DropACog on the BSF. The guy wears Joe Tinted Spectacles like you wouldn't believe. Didn't ever think we had a chance of winning last night and I was right. I stood with NOBBY from the BSF and the other Hammers fans that were with him and they made it really enjoyable. Cracking set of folks and not one of them bad mouthed Belle Vue...........even though they were told to take their big flag down because the riders were complaining about it.
Once we went behind there were no real easy races where it looked like we could pull it back. Crump was again superb and showed the rest of the lads, bar Gjedde, how it's done round Kirky Lane. Forsberg was unlucky in heat 1 to clip Lanhams back wheel (though I didn't see that at the time). He was on the deck for a while holding his inured (cough cough) hand and I feared the worst. Good second ride but looked down on power after that. Gjedde was good value again but if he'd have had an off night we would have been slaughtered. Jankowski made a great start and first bend in the re-run of heat 3 only to mess it up on bend 3. He came off after that and his confidence was shot. The way he was riding told you that. Screenie was absolute shite. For a bloke that started riding that track 19 years ago he should know the quickest way round. I don't know what his problems are but all he ever bleats on about are his engines.....it's your job to sort that stuff out so do it Joe and lose a bit of weight while you're at it. Simmons did ok on his debut but Raun was garbage again. We got rid of Rajkowski to get this lad in. OK, he's coming back from an injury but just from seeing how he rides the bikes tells you he ain't ever gonna be a world beater.
Well done Lakeside. Much deserved win.

I met young Nobby and his gang on Friday night - good chaps, one and all. Anyway, I saw both Rajkowski and Raun last season and I'd have said Raun was the better rider. But neither of them are Elite League standard. That is, however, true of a lot of reserves in the Elite League this season - Pijper, Moller, Brundle, et al. As soon as Belle Vue decided to sign Crump, Gjedde and Screen it was obvious that the tail was going to be pitiful.

Kylmakorpi wouldn't have been at reserve if the BSPA had adopted Stuart Douglas' proposals regarding 'established' riders during the winter. They (BSPA) however, know best, so we (Lakeside) have to abide by the same rules that apply to everyone............it seems it's the best possible way for Stanley to say "I told you so". Oh, you and Sub aren't going to start this nonsense again, are you? Douglas has got it wrong regarding reserves. He obviously didn't took notice of the Boxall/Armstrong farce in 2006 when this was tried in the Premier League. Sounds like you're a supporter of Kylmakorpi/Swiderski/Skornicki riding at reserve then Genghis.............and on reflection the management of Lakeside/Ipswich/Poole might be with you after all.

Well done Lakeside. Much deserved win. Thanks for the sentiments Youngy, it's really refreshing to hear that from an Aces fan.............all credit to you, and let's hope it's not too long before Belle Vue return to the great club they once were.....................and I still reckon PC would do a good job for you at reserve.

Kev - If a rider ends up at reserve, they end up at reserve, end of. Any tinkering trying to keep/stop riders at reserve will just end up in a big mess.

Just as a matter of interest Kev, how many meetings have you got in June? Obviously when the next set of averages come out Joonas will return to 1-5.

As things are at the moment we've got just five meetings scheduled for the remainder of June, two of which are KOC ties. Joonas is riding at reserve for June, but as you say, come July he'll move back up into the main body of the team. Bless Sky though, our home meeting against Coventry has been slotted into 30th June.............that was a close 'un wasn't it? ;D

That's no problem at all Kev. As I explained to Nobby and the gang I am a Belle Vue fan without the blinkers and without the excuses. Lakeside were the better team on Monday night, End of Story. They rode as a team, were always looking to see where their team-mates were on track. Not one Aces rider did that on Monday. Crump does it on the first bend of the first lap. If Forsberg ain't there with him he just clears off. PC at reserve??? I reckon I could do a half decent job at reserve. Couldn't do worse than Raun. Simmons was OK though.

I would have stated on the Aces forum when it was announced but I could not be arsed with the slanging matches that go on on that site. And with Dictator Beckingham in charge you can't really put a fair argument across. Back to Rajkowski. I just felt on Monday he would have done a better job than Raun. He would have the benefit or more track time and he wouldn't have been coming back from injury. Michal just needed to sort his machinery out and he would have been ok (i think so anyway). It's the time of the season now where I feel Michal would have started chipping in with a couple of points here and there. I was speaking to Michal on Monday at Belle Vue. Pointed him out to the Lakeside supporters who I stood with. He seemed a little bitter about the treatment he got from BV. I have no idea what went on but I hope he was treated with a bit of dignity and respect because he really did try his bollocks off for us.
