No, it was a publicity stunt, as far as I remember. According to the story, which appeared in the national press, if my memory is correct, was that Per Jonsson was invited to Berrington Lough to give advice on track preparation.

I don't think it was the Bordernapolis that Andersen rode in - I think it an end-of-season-filler called something like the "Northumberland Open" back in 2005. But I wouldn't bet against Waite asking Nicki P to come to the Bordernapolis - Waite operates on the principle that "shy bairns get nowt".
