Mads getting his roots done and possibly a manicure?
Swindon manager Alun Rossiter is considering treating Mads Korneliusen to a makeover in an attempt to make his off track image appear more slick.
Alun Rossiter is still fuming over the decision not to hand Mads Korneliussen a wildcard slot in the Danish Speedway Grand Prix at the Parken stadium later this month.
Korneliussen, who comfortably defeated established Grand Prix star Hans Andersen at Blunsdon on Thursday night, has made significant progress during the 2008 season.
However, his domestic success has yet to be rewarded by the International selectors which leaves Rossiter pondering why Korneliussen is continually overlooked.
'We were extremely disappointed that Mads didn't get the Danish Wild card slot and made our feelings known at the time. However, after thinking about it extensively and discussing it with Mads we've come to the conclusion that his off track appearance could be the reason.
Maybe if he was to have a slicker hair cut and smarter all round presence then the International big wigs would begin to take him more seriously'.
In an attempt to make Korneliussen appear more professional Rossiter is considering booking the Danish youngster in for a makeover at a beauty therapist in Swindon.
'If it takes a grooming session to get Mads noticed then so be it. It’s more productive than simply doing nothing and Mads is willing to do whatever it takes to be recognised - even if it means cutting off that wispy blonde hair!'
