NIELS-Kristian Iversen is set for specialist treatment to assess the best route to recovery from the shoulder injury he sustained in the Swedish Grand Prix. Iversen's immediate target will be to be fit to compete in his home event at PARKEN on June 14, although this represents a difficult goal as the immediate verdict of doctors in Sweden was that he was likely to be ruled out for a month. Iversen lost control on the third bend of Heat 9 at the Ullevi Stadium, having attempted to dive inside double World Champion Jason Crump. He was ahead of the Australian going into the corner, but spun around and landed heavily, dislocating his shoulder. Fears that there was a break proved unfounded, and he was released from hospital late on Saturday night after doctors had spent over an hour carefully putting the shoulder back in place. Iversen is now back home in Denmark and will be visiting a specialist in a bid to speed up the healing process. From www.speedwayworld.tv

I hope he has a speedy recovery, he deserves a decent position in the series the way he's been riding this season. He's also very cute...

Wolves will be using Troy Batchelor as a guest for Iversen at Lakeside on Friday, and Chris Harris on Monday at home to Peterborough.
