Well this should be a close meeting, espescially with Aaron Summers at reserve having pulled in massive points hauls for the Cubs this season.
Probable Teams:
Bears
1. Gary Havelock 2. Joni Keskinen 3. James Grieves 4. Dan Giffard 5. Ty Proctor 6. Josh Auty 7. Arlo Bugeja
Monarchs
1. Tomas Topinka (G) 2. Thomas H. Jonasson R/R 3. Derek Sneddon 4. Ryan Fisher 5. Matthew Wethers 6. Andrew Tully 7. Aaron Summers
Jonasson looked very good in the PL meeting which ended up being abandoned but the whole Monarchs team has the potential to score well.
Prediction: 47-43 to the Bears. We will need the reserves to be on form if we are going to win this meeting, hopefully Dan will also chip in with a few points.

I can't see beyond an Edinburgh win here - Tully should have Auty (whose star already seems to be on the wane) and Bugeja for breakfast down at reserve and if Summers is as tasty as you're saying at the STMP, the Bears would appear to be up the Tees without a paddle. Edinburgh to win by about 10 points.

Have you seen Tully's current form?

Yes, but Summers is the stronger of the 2 round the STMP and Tully doesn't seem to be able to cope with bend 2 whenever he visits.
Was the same when he came with Scunny in the CL.

Taken from speedway updates site:
Stonehewer has withdrawn from the meeting (Just prior to heat 8) due to the injury he picked up at Stoke on Saturday.
Interview with Stonehewer and he says he has a rib injury and will pull out of his guest bookings this week

That'll be a blow for Edinburgh. Not many good options around. I suppose they could try for Adrian Rymel. He was okay around the STMP a few weeks ago, I think.

Yes, he was very good.....rode all the right lines when ahead. One of the best debut performances on the STMP.
Stoney being missing is a big blow though, he does well round the STMP and his team riding is 2nd to none.

Topinka is a very good choice and we could just sneak a victory here. See you Friday marron Topinka must be doing well out of all these guest bookings he's picking up. He had a slow start to the season, but was outstanding on both visits to Shielfield Park recently - his overtake of Magnus Karlsson in Ht 15 on Saturday was glorious.

And it looks all over bar the shouting as the heathen Monarchs comfortably win at the STMP (38:55). A woeful showing from the Bears, with only James Grieves offering any real resistance, scoring 15+1 from 5 rides, including a 6 point outing in black and white. For the heathen Monarchs Ryan Fisher was the star, scoring an impressive 16+1 from 6 rides. The only Monarch to miss out was captain Derek Sneddon, who could only manage 2+1 from 4 rides, while star reserve Andrew Tully was among the points again, scoring an impressive 11+1 from 6 rides.

With Tully sweeping all before him at reserve , the Monarchs can carry Desperate Deek's dismal away form .
