Just when is this? Some confusion over the fixtures here – Lakeside’s website had the 30th May EL meeting against Poole changed to being versus the Aces, but it’s now reverted back to what it was before, whilst the Poole website says this fixture has been changed to accommodate Lakeside v Coventry in the Shield. The cut-off date for completion of the final is supposed to be at the end of the month, but it seems very late in being arranged, unless the cut-off date has been extended? Coventry’s website still has them riding against Wolves on the 30th. When is the CS being contested?!

Ah stop moaning... Do these meetings need to be completed by a certain time? I actually like the idea of a cup final weekend, but if they are going to do it, we need to know dates ,soon as...I bet they go and do it when we're away, now we've just gone and booked our holiday..

Kev - not that I'm defending or criticising either side, but surely it takes TWO promotions to agree the dates. Your bias is highly amusing at times, Kev... especially given your past criticism towards others doing a similar thing. ;D ;D

Here's an idea - perhaps the promoters should actually talk to each other BEFORE putting out things on websites. And I'm not just on about Coventry either.

From Hammers' website: The Lakeside Hammers confirm that talks between the two promotions are still continuing with regards to dates for the Craven Shield Final against Coventry and, therefore, those released today on the Coventry website are only provisional. It is confirmed, however, that the Bees will be visiting the Arena Essex Raceway in Sky Sports Elite League action on Monday June 30th in a match that will be shown live by Sky Sports. Jon Cook, the Hammers Co-Promoter and Team Manager, states: "Myself and Pratty (Colin Pratt) have had numerous conversations regarding the Final and dates but it seems that someone has jumped the gun somewhat in releasing these dates. In fact only today we were able to agree availability of our Raceway on another couple of dates, which I was going to discuss with Colin on Monday. I believe these dates would be far preferable as it has always been our wish, if possible, to get these meetings back to back on consecutive days to give the Competition a fitting finale in keeping with the name of Peter Craven and to make up for the rather ramshackle way the competition was run as an end of season filler in the past. To do that we are prepared, if necessary, to waiver our right to the second leg."
