Peter can't seriously think that McKinna is better than Scud?!?! I doubt he has the points in hand to replace McKinna with Truminski - McKinna is on a 3.00 average and Truminski a 7.00 average, while Scott Smith's average is 5.15. And Smith is likely to be missing for a while after his crash during the Isle of Wight meeting.

How many meetings did he ride, Schumi?

None - he was only announced three days ago. He was one of Newport's riders, drafted in to replace the injured Scott Smith.

And just who might this jaw dropping signing be that Peter Waite is going to announce tomorrow? This couldn't mean the return of the Weirdity could it?

Paul Clews.

Indeed it is Paul Clews, but for some reason my jaw resolutely refuses to drop. I wonder why? Ah yes, it's because once again the signature doesn't match the hyperbole that preceeded it. Clews is a good rider, but hardly a "massive" signing to instill fear in the hearts of Waite's rival promoters.
