Looks like you've been caught by the "aha a sensible reply, I'll delete my original post" syndrome. As a previous sufferer can I make a suggestion to ML.....there is a remedy....always quote the original I did feel rather foolish SL but nowt new there some would say ;D No harm done though and I will heed your advice

I always thought Meridith was one of the better track prep men - it seems I was mistaken. Yes, I think you might be mistaken about Meredith. He has a long history of ruining tracks by preparing them like concrete. Ask Dekker on the BSF. He'll tell you what Meredith did to Swindon. ;D The track was fine at Coventry for the first part of last season then Colin took over and from then on it's been slick for the most part. Exception was the recent Poole match when there was passing galore and the Bees riders who aren't renowned for gating were able to do their stuff. Brilliant! So all we are asking is for the track to be like that so we can see some decent racing, not boring follow the leader. I must have him mixed up with someone else then, easy done when you don't follow as closely as you should - thanks for the confirmation

Gawd!! No wonder I couldn't reply to Kev on the other thread. Penny finally dropped that it's locked. You've noticed then Kev? I think the planets must have been lined up wrongly for the past few weeks. If they stay the same until Saturday then I will be brave enough to make a decision, which to be fair won't necessarily be Colin Meredith. Three more nominations from me. Riders who are supposedly injured so can't ride for their English club but are fit enough to ride abroad. Promoters who think we will believe anything they say and treat us like mugs. People who remove posts so that those who reply are made to look like they are talking to themselves.

Leicester - Goals Branch
My five-a-side team have now been made to play a game on one day's notice and we are at a severe disadvantage to everyone else. All the other title contenders have had 10-0 against this non-team, this week they find a team with a day's notice. Now I am struggling to get a team together.

I would like to nominate the disgraceful Rangers fans for giving Scottish football a bad name for causing inexcusable trouble in Manchester.

Tsunami + Mauger_Magic for continuing to be knobs on the BSF I wish to God they'd stop being knobs so we wouldn't have to have them nonimated every week. Or better still, let's just crown them flapperjacks and get it over with....

Craig "F'ing" Ackroyd. Tonight he makes possibly the worst decision I have ever seen.
Heat 8 at Stoke all 4 gate pretty much equally, Jesper Kristiansen off gate 1 clips the inside kerb on turn 1 and straightens causing chaos on the first turn. Jack Roberts is the unfortunate one that pirouettes and falls, but immediately is up and remounted the Stoke pair are coasting expecting the red light and Henning Loof is off into the distance. There was no reason to stop the race, Roberts could well have passed the coasting Potters and the race was still on. Roberts was up and on his bike before the red lights are on, but Ackroyd excludes him from the rerun. For what? Mr Ackroyd being too quick on the red lights? He could have said unsatisfactory start, but no we must exclude a rider that HAS NOT caused a stoppage. The guy is an incompetent, even Mr Flint or Mcgreggor haven't made cockups on this scale.

So week 45 had 8 pages and week 46 has 2. Not many to choose from so if I'm supposed to be doing it this weekend then I'm afraid, in spite of Jim sticking up for his slick tracks, I'll have to choose Colin Meredith.

Gems, I was not really sticking up for slick tracks. In my humble way, I was trying to say that grippy tracks are not the panacea for necessarily good speedway, and can be dangerous with the type of power and engines of today if they are too deep. I witnessed a very deep and grippy track on Thursday at Sheffield which resulted in most peoples opinions it seems, that it was as a poorly prepared track. . The racing was not very good either. You have me as a nomination for my deleting of a post. (Though my intention was not to make ML look silly at all, only myself maybe, and I cocked up anyway with my original post) Go for that one. I'm happy to be a flapperjack.

I would like to nominate the disgraceful Rangers fans for giving Scottish football a bad name for causing inexcusable trouble in Manchester. Aye - all 0.01% of them? Thankfully 99% of all football fans are decent, even Celtic ones!!! And i speak as a hearts fan who stopped attending either parkhead or Ibrox due to the treatment we got from stewards and police

Craig "F'ing" Ackroyd. Tonight he makes possibly the worst decision I have ever seen. Craig Ackroyd is more like Dan Ackroyd when it comes to making decisions. He is a useless twat
