Well, ssamyarse finally got to make a flapperjack decision and didn't he do well? Time to start another one and I believe gemini has a ready nomination that will be supported heartily by other members who are regulars at the Bastion of Delusion.

How about those who are not regulars at the Bastion of Delusion, but put in a guest appearance last night?

Anyway, I would like to nominate Lord Flapperjack for his vomit-inducing post on the Peterborough forum.

Well, I would like to nominate Daniel Nermark for taking the utter pish out of British Speedway authorities, British Speedway fans, and the Barbarian management and fans.

I would like to nominate, Greeny and Gurning Tatum, for their orgasmic overtures about the Right Hon Dugard's "perfect" track, which in fact was as other mere mortals, bloody dusty and broken up due to the dry windy conditions. YOU GOT it wrong planks, but you had to go on and on and on about Dugards skills as a track curator, and what a good track he lays and how he was up at 3.30 watering it. .

That's Gurning Tatum MBE, young lady. But wasn't it splendid when Jonathon Green mentioned that Swindon would be watching eagerly at home (except for the Orange Dictator, who appeared to be at Arlington in person, obviously) and Gurning Tatum MBE agreed. Swindon were, of course, in case we have any cretins with the limited intellect of Jonathon Green as members, racing at Belle Vue last evening.

Colin bloody Meredith is my nomination. Him and Ole Olsen do more to damage speedway racing than anyone else in the sport with their pathetically prepared slick tracks. And if Sub insists on making me choose the flapperjack of the week, everyone else will be wasting their time nominating anyone because I can announce the winner here and now. Colin bloody Meredith, with Ole Olsen a close second. ;D

Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Jim. Gemini did NOT say anything of the kind. She didn't say the track had to be deep.
Tracks CAN be prepared correctly with dirt if enough work is done on them and produce great racing without injuries. Your post makes out if a track has dirt on it there will be injuries and that's not true.

As a previous sufferer can I make a suggestion to ML.....there is a remedy....always quote the original . Much as I'd like to nominate people who have the above syndrome, I'm more than happy with the Olsen part of Gemini's choice, so won't bother

I'm not sure how many others get Backtrack magazine but in the latest issue Olsen was saying how he has finally convinced the riders that his tracks are the best way to do things - because if it rains they can hold more water or something and this means that the meeting is less likely to be called off (I'm not sure what the exact reason was but it's something like that). I always thought Meridith was one of the better track prep men - it seems I was mistaken.
Of course, I could put my Cradley supporter hat on and make a joke about Brandon and a slick track but it's probably not the best time, eh?

You can nominate me if you like SL. In fact, I'll nominate myself for deleting it rather than modifying it, if you like? I have many syndromes. Another one is I find its too stressful being perfect though, don't you? ;D My original post was a little harsh so accept my apologises Gem's. I still think that making tracks to grippy with the amount and type of power that modern engines produce today would make them more dangerous. What tracks that Olsen prepares is for all riders, slick, grippy or bumpy its the same for all riders. Am I right in saying that there has only been one GP in Olsen's era that was canceled because of the weather - and he did not do it?

My nomination goes to Eagles fan rom the BSF, firstly for starting a thread calling Lee Richardson a liability then, coming out the most unbelievable statement, that if he had an injured wrist he should have been resting it and not being part of the Sky team on Saturday... Excuse me, but what the f**k are you on about, twat. He was trying to do the best for his team, he's not the only person to try and ride when probably he shouldn't. You can't do right for wrong with some idiots...

You can't do right for wrong with some idiots... I agree with Eagles fan that Lee shouldn't have raced on Monday, but that doesn't make him a liability. I realise he was trying his best for us but on this occasion it would have been better if hadn't raced because then we could have had R/R with the remaining top 4 taking his rides, but hindsight is wonderful thing. It was clear he wasn't fit enough and he could now be out for 2 months, which doesn't really help the team or him (He could miss his GP qualifier). I personally would prefer riders not to race if they are injured, but they all do and sometimes they come of worse for doing so. Having said all that Eagles fan is a twat for saying he shouldn't have been part of the sky team, I'm not sure how sitting down and talking can hurt your wrist.

I always thought Meridith was one of the better track prep men - it seems I was mistaken. Yes, I think you might be mistaken about Meredith. He has a long history of ruining tracks by preparing them like concrete. Ask Dekker on the BSF. He'll tell you what Meredith did to Swindon. ;D The track was fine at Coventry for the first part of last season then Colin took over and from then on it's been slick for the most part. Exception was the recent Poole match when there was passing galore and the Bees riders who aren't renowned for gating were able to do their stuff. Brilliant! So all we are asking is for the track to be like that so we can see some decent racing, not boring follow the leader. No need to apologise Jim because I didn't see your post. I presume the gist of it was that you don't agree, but I believe you were at Brandon on Monday so you can't have been happy with the standard of racing. That's what it is like when it is slick and the fans are getting fed up, also the riders. Chris said it was crap when he came in after his first ride but whenever the riders complain Pratty tells them to get on with it because it's the same for both teams. The point is though that surely the track should be set up to suit the home riders not the away. Seems Peter Oakes is of the same opinion so perhaps something might be done.
