Bears1. Gary Havelock 2. Chris Kerr R/R 3. James Grieves 4. Dan Giffard 5. Ty Proctor 6. Arlo Bugeja 7. Josh Auty Somerset1. Jason Doyle 2. Jordan Frampton 3. Emil Kramer 4. Matthias Kroger 5. Stephan Katt 6. Simon Walker 7. Brent Werner This should be a good meeting, last season we went into Heat 14 with Somerset 8 ahead. Josh went off 15m and got the win, Chris Kerr slowed on the line to let him past and then we got a 4-2 in the last heat to take it 47-46 Jason Doyle scored a hatful last time he was at the STMP whilst their 2 reserves are strong. Having Josh at reserve will strengthen us alot and hopefully it will give him some much needed confidence. Prediction: 49-41 to the Bears

But it was shining on the Rebels, who won with some comfort at the STMP (39:54). Jason Doyle went through the card unbeaten, scoring 15 from 5 rides and was solidly backed by Frampton, Kramer and Werner.

Well we got battered tonight, totally outgated and they rode harder on the first bend than we were prepared too. Track was way, way too slick with the only passing coming from mistakes or the fact that Stephan Katt was out front.
Bears
Havvy - never gated once and there was no grip to come back.
Jimmy - Decent performance, was the only rider who was prepared to ride the first bend hard.
Dan - Poor. I have to ask, why was he there in the first place? In the programme it states that he is still ill, they dont know what it is and that he is having to have regular medical checks. Surely that is an indication that Dan is unfit to ride.
Ty - Did Ok.
Budgie - Got shoved out wide in Heat 6 and couldn't come back. Gating wasn't there tonight.
Josh - showed signs of his 2007 form but also of this seasons form. Mixed night.
Rebels
Doyle - Before the meeting i thought he would be untouchable and he proved it. He is red hot out the gate and even if he didn't get out he would have came from the back.
Frampton - Hard rider and did well.
Kramer - Solid tonight, did his job.
Kroger - Good out the gate and a good STMP debut overall.
Katt - He kept getting out first be kept messing it up and was waiting to be passed, didn't like the first bend.
Walker - Not as good as last season but i think he deserved more than he got.
Werner - One of the strongest reserves in the league and it showed, 3 wins and a paid 2nd says it all.
However, it is only one meeting in a long season.

So what's the chances of Somerset saving us from a winter of Monarch bragging ?

Very good chance on last night's showing.
They will always have 2 good reserves like Edinburgh and Jason Doyle is a very good gater but also a good racer.
