I think it's fair to say that April wasn't a good month for the Heathen Tigers, especially at the "Messiahdome", where they mostly struggled and then were thumped by the Heathen Monarchs. But May should start off a bit brighter, with the rather sorry looking Diamonds from Newcastle the visitors this coming Sunday.

Diamonds on Sunday will depend largely on the fitness of George Stancl . If he rides and is fit enough to do himself justice , then it could be tricky . Franc , King and Henry all ride Ashfield well enough to cope with most of our mis-firing bunch . After the Diamonds it's the Isle of Wight , who don't impress me very much . They are followed by Scunthorpe and we finish the month off on the 25th with the re-arranged fixture against Redcar .

Well just when we thought things couldn't get any worse , it has . Not only are we hopeless , we are now Messiahless as well . But we trundle on and , weather permitting as it is a bit grey this morning , we face the Newcastle Diamonds home and away over the next 24 hours . Considering he lives about 8 miles from the Messiahdome and is also a former Diamond i would be amazed if Scotland's number 1 , James Grieves , is not back donning the stripes today .

Well as paulco predicted James Grieves is indeed riding for the Tigers and with two heat wins is probably equaling the score of the messiah currently 21-15... Mitchell Davey is off to hospital after a fall, believed precautionary and Newcastle's George English had declared over the mic that Ben Powell will never ride in a Newcastle race jacket again...having failed to turn up today...

Today was probably one of the worst meetings i've ever seen . We were dire and to be honest Newcastle weren't much better . To lose at home against 4 men plus Jamie Robertson was shameful , and how much more can we take .

And the season isn't getting any better for the heathen Tigers, as Josh Grajczonek - possibly the sole bright spot in the season, so far - took a tumble in Ht 10 of their meeting at Newcastle tonight and was withdrawn from the meeting. Initial reports suggest that it is a suspected broken wrist, although he's off to hospital to have x-rays. In the meeting itself, the Tigers were beaten with some comfort by the Diamonds (53:42).

Josh has indeed got broken bones in his wrist and in his hand . He is due back at hospital on Thursday , so we wont know until then how long he will be out for . Mitchell has been told to rest for a week or two by the doctor and will miss this Sunday's meeting against the Isle of Wight . And with Shane ( broken wrist and collar bone ) we also dont know how long he will be out for .
And that is the medical update from the Glasgow A and E department .
