On to the semi finals of the Craven Shield and the first leg at Brandon, where Andreas Messing is expected to still be absent after an injury he picked up last week. Ben Barker will be available for Coventry for both legs. Sucheki has had operations this weekend and is hoping to be released from hospital, if all goes well, within a week, but I have no idea what the Poole line-up will be, although I don't expect Zabik to be riding, as all reports suggest he's still in hospital with kidney stones.
Coventry:
1..Rory Schlein 2..Olly Allen 3..Chris Harris 4..Billy Janniro 5..Simon Stead 6..Ben Barker 7..Stan Burza

And ended up with a hefty win for the Pirates (58-34), which will be difficult for the Bees to overcome at the Bastion of Delusion on Friday. For the Pirates almost everyone was among the points, with Watt stealing the show with a 15 point maximum. But a special mention to Skornicki who scored 15+3 from 7 rides (to put this into perspective, Messrs Schlein, Janniro and Stead combined scored 15+3 from 11 rides). Chris Holder continued to impress, with a score of 12, but he'll surely be disappointed to have lost out to unSteady in Ht 11. For the Bees it was a sorry show. Harris scored 13 from 5 (including a 4 point T/R ride), but he only won a single race. I suppose the only bright spark was a promising performance from No 8 Ben Barker, who scored 4 from 4 rides.

Diabolical is what i would say. I witnessed 1st hand.Rory was hopeless, Olly had what happened 2 weeks ago firmly in his mind i believe, Chris performed well, Billy had fits & starts, Stead, 1 good race from the gate again, Stan, as per away from home, Ben, take my hat off to the lad he battled well & not many PL riders will beat Eriksson this season. Basically i think the will was there but the know how wasn't, Poole have a top engine tuner in Boycey & that's why they're doing so well.Watt in particular was electric.
