Awful news about Zbigniew Suchecki - hope he makes a swift and complete recovery.

It gets worse. From speedwayworld.tv:
ZIBI Suchecki will have an operation on Thursday after suffering serious leg injuries in an Elite League match at Poole. Suchecki has sustained a broken femur and there are concerns of more broken bones after the accident in Heat 2 of the Pirates' clash with Eastbourne. The Polish rider was leading but locked up midway around the first bend, and although the following Simon Gustafsson and Adam Skornicki were able to take avoiding action, James Brundle was less fortunate and could not avoid contact. It is believed that the majority of the damage to Suchecki was caused by the footrest of his own bike after he had fallen, whilst Brundle rode in the re-run but no further in the meeting due to knee and ankle damage. Poole won 52-41 after a sterling effort with only five of their regular riders - Karol Zabik ruled out due to illness - but all thoughts were with Suchecki in the aftermath of the meeting. Manager Neil Middleditch said: "I'm gutted. It's a big shame. He was a great reserve, he was doing his job. "He's a great bloke and do you know what, he's lying on the stretcher having just broken his leg and he is telling me he's sorry."
