Well, this turned out to be a comfortable win for Welly's Racers against the ridiculously top heavy Comets (54-39). Once again, the Comets were ruthlessly exposed in Hts 2, 8 and 14, where the Racers knocked up 14 points and the Comets 4. For the Comets Nermark and Nieminen can't be faulted, but Stonehewer only scoring 6 points isn't good enough. They need upwards of 35 points from their top three to stand any chance away from Derwent Park, such is the lop-sided nature of their team. For the Racers just about everyone chipped in with good points, but when the opposition have four no-hopers that's easily enough done.

Best team performance this season for the Racers, with Ulli Ostergaard showing Nermark who the daddy of the PL is.
Plenty of team spirit in the camp & all the riders willing to help each other out in the pits & out on track. How nice it is to hear riders talking about staying back & riding with their team mate for a 3-3 rather than chasing personal glory & maybe gifting the opposition a heat advantage in the process - breath of fresh air after last season in particular
