So Ben Taylor comes in for Mark Baseby and Robbie Kessler is back.
Robbie did a fantastic job for the Bears last season and it will be great to see him round the STMP again. He was lightening fast out of the gates for us and could also pass on the track. Kaj Laukkanen should be tough to beat whilst it will be very interesting to see how Jan Graversen + Jari Makinen do.
For the Bears Grieves, Proctor and Auty should all be fit whilst Dan Giffard is still a doubt with the virus which kept him out of the Newport victory on Sunday.
Redcar Bears
1. Gary Havelock 2. Chris Kerr R/R 3. James Grieves TBC 4. Josh Auty TBC 5. Ty Proctor TBC 6. Arlo Bugeja 7. Dan Giffard TBC
Mildenhall Fen Tigers
1. Jan Graversen 2. Jari Makinen 3. Kaj Laukannen 4. R/R 5. Robbie Kessler 6. Ben Taylor (G) 7. Matthew Wright (G)
If the racing is half as good as when these 2 met at the STMP last season we will be in for a cracker.

Just hope it's not rained off for you, marron. You do seem to be suffering from the weather lately.

Unfortunately work prevents me coming up for this one - shame, as I haven't yet visited the South Tees Motorsports Park yet. Hopefully, Jan G can continue his bright, early season form, and will be suitably backed up by Laukkanen and Kessler.

James Cockle has been dropped for the forseeable future and Matthew Wright steps in as a replacement for this Thursday whilst talks are ongoing about the permanant replacement.

Strange one that. Personally, although I was disgusted with Cockle's performance on Sunday, I would've given him this week's meetings, (Redcar away, King's Lynn home, Redcar home), and if he doesn't improve - then drop him. Can't see Matthew Wright scoring any more than what Cockle would - he's always looked awkward on a bike when I've seen him. Let's hope the permanent replacement is either the young New Zealander, Grant Tregoning, or Kyle Hughes.

Great night of speedway once again. Some very good racing and I think it will be enough for us to go through.
Havvy: Very good once again and when he was behind he never gave up. Grievesy: great stuff from Jimmy and once again very good out of the start, great pass on Graversen to get the win in Heat 5, carbon copy of Ty's in the previous heat. Josh: Two engine failures in his opening rides got him off to a bad start but the Josh of last season came back to collect a win and a paid win. Ty: Getting better and better. Heat 4 was brilliant, the way he reeled Kessler in for 3 and 3/4 laps then p[assed him on the last bend was fantastic. Arlo: Very steady once again, getting better each week and has that 1st/2nd bend completely sussed out. Dan: Alot better, great pass in Heat 12.
Graversen: Was very very impressed with him, looks a great prospect and had a great race with Bugeja in Heat 11. Great stuff. Makinen: Not the best night for him, but looked ok. Laukkanen: Did well to keep his cool when he had to win his TR ride in the re-run. Good out the gate, solid. Kessler: Looked good for his first meeting back and it was great to see him back at the STMP. Taylor: Off the pace in some rides but did ok. Wright: Rode very well in Heat 2 but kept going too wide into turn 1.
Mildenhall fans added to the occasion once again, a very sporting set of fans who appreciated the racing from both teams. Also liked the Mildenhall riders + staff coming out at the end, they did this last season and i think more teams should do it.
