Can anyone help please. I have been watching show jumping this week on the TV, and twice now when Geoff Luckett has been on the commentators have said that Geoff used to be a speedway rider. Anyone know of him please?

I can assure you, he's not ridden in any official competition since 1965 at first or second division level.

I can assure you, he's not ridden in any official competition since 1965 at first or second division level. OK thanks Kev, he comes originally from Birmingham I think, and now lives near Banbury. He is probably late 30's  now, so that time span really covers it I reckon. Funnily enough I had a conversation with Chris Schramm on Monday night, as he did the reverse, used to show jump ponies, then bought a speedway bike when he sold the pony  |

Anyone know of him please? I heard that the other night too Badge - thought I'd imagined it to be honest. Nice to have it confirmed that I'm not going barmy! Greatly amused too to see Nick Skelton still going strong....and has Robert Smith had a personality transplant? I swear I saw him stroke his horse on the next the other night!  |
