surely the biggest mistake was letting their top rider and team leader to leave the club. nicholls is on his way to his third title in four seasons. It was indeed a mistake to let Scott Nicholls go. It should have been Nicholls backed up by one of either Harris or Stead, and then a balanced line-up underneath them. What Coventry have settled on is a top-heavy team, but still without a geniune No. 1. It would have worked had Harris and Schlein stepped up to the plate, but as yet they haven't done so. I still think Coventry will go on and have a half-decent season - and it still wouldn't surprise me to see them in the play-offs. Dropped home points are less important this season, as long as you can make up with some away three pointers. where will coventry go and win?

Problem is Poole might beat them at Brandon on Friday.

Looks like Geoff was right, as he so often is despite being bottom of the track shop fantasy league. Be there or be square by the stairs. I just hope the track doesn't get like this: Is that Simon Stead? Can,t be he,s still upright.

Last night, Messing looked a little better, actually looked like he was in control and not the bike. Burza great ride to cause mayhem between Stead and Screen scored about what we can expect. Janniro, obviously thrashed last seasons engines into submission in first month of the season ( have his mechanic,s started yet ? ), wish he put as much effort into his preparation as he did into mouthing off to the Mexican,s. Stead did his Devon Locke impression, seems to lack awareness of people behind who are going to put a move on him. Too soft, gets moved over very easily.
Schlein, more like it. Allen solid again barring poor 1st ride.
Harris, ( GP obsessed ), talks a good meeting but not producing it yet, not leading by example , trying to get an edge mechanically isn't working. Stick to trying to improve your gating might be more useful.
Great match for drama, well done to Belle Vue.
So far only Allen can be happy with his season.
