So, tonight paulco will surely be donning the wig, false beard and glasses for a trip over to Armadale to watch his beloved heathen Tigers take on the Monarchs and to hopefully get a cuddle from midnightlady. And a cuddle from the Armadale matriarch is likely to be the only comfort the youngster is likely to get tonight, since you can't see anything other than a huge win for the Monarchs. I suspect it'll be the case of seeking cold comfort in any positives you can - more improvement from the Messiah and another good showing from Grajczonek look most likely. Edinburgh will be looking for a healthy win to boost confidence ahead of their trip to Barbaria on Saturday.

And it ended with a comfortable win for the Monarchs (57:36). Glasgow's Mrs Brady withdrew from the meeting after taking a tumble in his first outing - no news on any possible injuries to the youngster, so let's all hope he's okay. For the Monarchs everyone was among the points, although a couple of tumbles for Tully restricted his scoring and abject gating from Fisher seems to have restricted his. For the Tigers it was the "Messiah" and that's about it, although Dicken seems to have tried his best.

Ross Brady has re-broken his collar-bone . Messiah back to his magnificent self , mercilessly toying with the Monarchs . Sadly his team mates were an abject bunch , thus giving the Monarchs a comfortable win . Make no mistake , injury free , the Monarchs look top 4 material .

I went along to this encounter with the lovely, young, lady last night and I have say that the Monarchs look a very balanced side at home, some very solid scoring from the team, with William Lawson looking very fast and composed. However tougher tests lie ahead than Glasgow(sorry Paulco) for whom 'the messiah' was on a different level to the rest of two teams together. I also thought Lee Dicken tried his best for the Tigers. I really do fear the Tigers if 'the messiah' has a really bad night. Edinburgh really do look a team capable of a top 4 finnish, even with the young swede still out R/R most likely scored more than what he maybe would have, although i still think given the track time he will do ok for them. Stood beside me last night were 2 first time newcomers to speedway whom seemed to really enjoy the racing despite not quite getting the scoring system though i was happy to help with any of their questions.
I can see the Tigers strengthening up after the new averages. Edinburgh barring injuries well do rather well and may even give the Barbarians a surprise tonight.
GM.
