And the Elite League meeting between Swindon and Belle Vue tonight ended in a Swindon win (49:43). All in all, not a bad result for speedway's "Old Lady", with Charlie Gjedde (15+1, including a Tactical Substitute ride in Ht 14) enjoying his return to the Abbey Stadium, while Jason Crump (13) was as solid as ever. Less solid were the reserves, Rajkowksi and Ksiezak, who managed just a single point from seven outings. Rajkowski, as I suspected, is clearly out of his depth in the Elite League and may soon find himself looking for a gig in the Premier League - he'd do a job for Mildenhall. For the Robins it's another home win and another super showing from Mads Korneliussen (10+1 from 5), while Leigh Adams (14), rather like his fellow countryman Crump, was as solid as ever - does Adams ever have a poor meeting? However, Travis McGowan (4 from 4, including two lasts) continues to look like a problem for the Robins.

Certainly Lukasz Jankowski's five, paid eight must give some hope to the Belle Vue fans........his best UK score yet I believe.
