I don't have a particular problem with Pearson either, although I do sometimes wish he'd stop shouting! I think that's the football thing though - for some strange reason you can't have a commentary on Football without it being BELLOWED at you, one of the many reasons why I prefer watching Rugby.
Millard is another matter entirely - I'm unsure whether he has a lack of knowledge or an inability to call the knowledge he has to hand at the relevant moment, whichever it is though he's embarassingly bad at times.
Sky seem to have taken on board what a good job Loobie did in the pits at the World Cup and that seems to be where they are using him this year - good call IMO. He's not really one to be so happy in the commentary box anyhow to be honest, but does love getting into the tick of it. He knows the questions to ask and, more to the point, gets questions answered that others simply wouldn't, because the riders know and trust him.

Which is why it continues to frustrate stadium presenters in the Uk that he is so reluctant to be interviewed himself when riding. Seems like double-standards to me, but what do I know?

To my mind, so long as the presentation / interview method is not intrusive or inappropriately times, ALL riders should be available for interview at some stage during the meeting. If the riders have a valid reason for asking that it doesn't happen (Making changes on the bike, needing to visit the facilities ;D or that sort of thing) then fair enough, but otherwise, they are fair game. Same as photos - I point the camera at a rider during the course of their working evening and I don't expect them to put a hand over their face or pull a hat down so they can't be seen. (Mr Crump take a bow) - they are there to do a job and as a result are publicly available.

Get Johnno on board at the GP's where possible, if the guys don't play ball he could always throw his beer over 'em Seriously, a damned good idea cos there aren't to many riders who don't like or respect him. I don't expect Lupus to agree mind, do i care, huh.

Keith Huewen is actually the anchor man for SKY Sports and not a commentator. I didn't say he was a commentator Jim , and as this thread is for Sky Presentation team, I feel my comments were valid, and I stand by them, the young lady who hosted the SWC was excellent, she came across as knowledgeable ane just made the whole programme much slicker etc IMO. Now if you want Heuwen as a commentator well who am I to argue the point

But I did not say you did badge either. I was simply clarifying the point. I am not going to argue anything.
I am just of the opinion that he is very good at what he does and would be equally as good in the commentators role. I don't remember seeing that lady you mention so I cannot comment.
Well, according to what I read this week about Eurosport and MotoGP and next yerr [sic] he might be looking for another job.

Motorcycle News report that the BBC have signed a contract to continue the coverage of MotoGP until the end of 2013 and its not certain Dorna will renew Eurosport's contract which expires at the end of 2008.
I guess its being mooted that Dorna want to pursue a terrestrial transmission route in Europe and the BBC are looking to extend their coverage of the series. Nothing has been settled yet with Europsort at this point officially though.

I agree, he's the Michael Parkinson of speedway, but having said that, it follows that Edward Kennett must be the Emu.
