And so the Premier League season begins, with Mildenhall taking on the cruel, crazy town this afternoon. The Bandits claimed their first home win since August 2007 last night and with Mildenhall looking weak they must surely be looking to start the Premier League with an away win and three points. This will also possibly be the last time Norbert Magosi will be at reserve, with the "three home and three away" average for team places kicking in ahead of their next meeting. I expect this to be a close meeting that could go either way.

Yes, last I checked it was 24:48 to the Bandits, which isn't close.

I know that Mildenhall haven't had the meetings under their belts that Berwick have enjoyed but that is a shocking performance from the home team.
Credit to Berwick though.

I've not really been following who rides for who this season but that has to be a shocker. Credit to Berwick, and let's hope it's just a bit of a blip for Mouldyhall cos if not I can't see them lasting the season and that's the last thing any of us should want.

As others have said, while it's a very good result for Berwick (although, Peter Waite obviously faces paying out an awful lot of points money), this is far from being a good result for the sport. But, make no mistake, Berwick have a useful side this season and they have a bit of spirit and good honest effort about them - they could spring a few surprises.

Worryingly for the Bandits ( sorry lads dont want to rain on your parade ) a few more home reverses like that could see a repeat of 1992 when Mildenhall pulled out the league in the May and all results were expunged from the record books .

To sum it up, we were shit. Wortmann and Cockle need to sort themselves out, as they were well off the pace today. Laukkanen and Graversen were average, Graversen doing what was expected - Kaj not so. Oliver was a good guest - score 7 times the amount Colvin would have done. Baseby tries too hard - he needs to think what he's going to do before winding up the throttle. Gave away 2 or 3 points today - being guilty of exactly the above.
Overall, utter rubbish. I'm dreading next week when we ride Birmingham - who are twice the side Berwick look.
