As well as the clash of the titans this Saturday between Berwick Bandits and Glasgow Tigers . There is a much smaller and less significant sporting occasion going on in Glasgow . Yes it's round one of three meetings in a month between the blue half and green half of our great city . This weekend's re-run of the Battle of the Boyne will take place at Ibrox , and Rangers will start favourites to make a significant step towards the title . They say the form-book goes out the window in an old firm matches , but one fact is inescapable - at the moment Rangers are on a relentless march to glory on four fronts , while Celtic are shite . It all points to a home win , on which i will be placing a few shillings with William Hill as well as a bet on a 2-0 scoreline and Barry Ferguson to score the first goal .

Well for once the Grand Master of the Johnstone Orange Lodge and big drum bangers is almost correct. Celtic recently have been utter shite, I wish I could respond with an argument to the contrary but sadly i can not. I would expect those Judases to return to the Huns squad after miraculously recovering from the injuries that kept them out of the Scotland squad. Unfortunately I also expect Caldwell to start which is disappointing when leaving him out and not replacing him would be more advantageous to the team. I expect the game to be a bit of a stalemate in midfield as both teams will not want to lose so I predict a draw.

Well I have no sympathy for Thompson the diving flapperjack, I do hope he is out for a while for blatant cheating, there was no need he was having a good game

Personally i was embarassed for the lad . Walter better have a word in his ear - that's Celtic behaviour , not what is expected from one of the Queen's eleven . But anyway - two games at Legoland now - one draw will probably suffice . P.S. Thank fuck Scott Brown chose Celtic .

Round 2 coming up on Wednesday at the piggery . With the top of the table looking like - RANGERS 30 24 3 3 73 24 75 SELLIK 32 22 5 5 73 22 71
Nothing less than a win is any good for the Plastic Paddy and co . I reckon though Walter will treat this like an away European tie and sit back and let Celtic come at us , then once the game progresses they will start getting desperate and we'll hit them on the break . I think we'll edge this 1-0 sparking off great wailing and gnashing of teeth by the protestantly challenged . ;D
