What team do people think were the team of the 90s? Can be from any level of racing. Think the Bradford Dukes were the Cup specialists of the 90s, the heathen tigers done a League and Cup double or the Ipswich team of 1998 that done the treble?
What do the weird world think?

Well the 1991 Arena Essex team would have to be up there with the best of them........ Division Two Champions (with only one defeat during the season) and KO Cup Winners too. Bo Petersen and Brian Karger were 1st and 2nd in the averages respectively and promotion to Division One was just a formality really.
In fact I'm almost sure the Hammers defeated Wolverhampton (Division One Champions) in a challenge at the end of the season too!!!

Not the 90,s but 1983 Cradley Heath Wigg 9.02, King 8.62, Gundersen 10.09, Grahame 8.42, Collins 7.81, Ravn 6.89, Jan O Pedersen 6.44 with Cross at no.8 5.00 got to be the best.

Racers 1990 was a good team, Div 1 winners, KO Cup winners & World No.1 & No.3 in their line up.
Racers 1992 was better though, stormed the league and won by 12 points I think, also picked up the BSPA cup and just missed out on the KOC.

It's got to be Ipswich 1998, one of the best teams of all-time, although they did somehow lose at Oxford, when Jason Crump and Steve Johnston beat Rickardsson and Gollob in the last race.
Good old Johno.

Finally a 90's section! Would agree with Ipswich 98, remember seeing them win at Cov with a very solid display. Also as mentioned Reading 92 was a strong side, from my vague memory of the time. We went down to Reading a few times in the early 90's, normally to see us beaten out of sight. Poole 94/Eastbourne 95/Wolves 96 all won the league with plenty to spare though, so maybe deserve honourable mentions. Can't really remember those particular teams though. Unfortunately there is no Cradley team from the 90's that could even come close to team of the decade

Well duh - obviously it was the great Glasgow team of 1993/94 which won the league and KO Cup double two years running . Could a team nowadays boast the calibre of rider as Robert Nagy , Shane Bowes , Nigel Crabtree , David Walsh , Jesper Olsen , James Grieves , Stewart McDonald etc . A truly awesome side which rode in the wonderful Shawfield Stadium .

Better than that we defeated both Coventry and Eastbourne / Wimbledon in the BSPA (Inter League cup) Oh they joy at seeing crestfallen budgies departing after assuming they were going to beat us ;D

1993 Belle Vue side. To win the league in the last match of the season was just pure drama. God Bless Bobby Ott......proof needed that the play-offs are a joke.

I always say the KO cup clashes with the tigers that year were the best matches of the season as we really had to battle for that one. The replay was more comfortable but certainly we had to work hard for that one!

I know I know but seeing as the last 25 years have been shite for the Aces I needed to cling on to something
