thinking of was poor Sean and family and the hurt they're going through at the moment. Agreed, so can we put this one to bed now and look elsewhere for Flapperjack of the Week? I agree it wasn't the most sensitive of posts, but she means well and she was/is a good friend of Sean and Sarahs. Thanks guys.

The Mutts Nuts award for this week has already been made, and I make no apologies for it!! Flapperjack of the Week is aimed at people at the opposite end of the spectrum, and in my book anyone who chooses to use events such as this as a stage for their own political propoganda should be considered. Therefore, sadly, I have to propose the originator of post #69 in Sean's thread on the BSF. For fucks sake, surely there's a time and a place for everything, but this really fucking isn't it!!!!!: It was a perfectly reasonable thing to say as far as I'm concerned. Just someone saying what they were feeling at that particular time. I reckon you should lay off.

I have to say guys , i didn't think it was too dreadful a post . When i read the comments about it on here - i went back to read it expecting to find something along the lines that Pinstripe would post . Maybe i'm just getting immune to insensative postings , because i didn't really see a whole lot wrong with it .

It seems that someone takes exception to everything you post, no matter how innocuous or tongue-in-cheek.

The problem is there is a time and a place for beating your drum about the NHS and hospices (a favourite subject of the poster). You don't do it in a thread about someone's untimely departure from this world.

Come on guys, you are obviously feeling a bit touchy at the moment, that understandable, but try and step back a pace on this. Really don't think this should be the topic of FJOTW....do you??? Now I'm sure he will understand the need for my nomination, the fact he hasn't actually done anything this week as yet is irelevant so I nominate.......Bratters ( I just know he is desperate for another one)

Really don't think this should be the topic of FJOTW....do you??? Why not? It's all about what each individual thinks. You don't have to agree with it.

However I must admit that when I read it, my interpretation of it was that she was very upset and hurting that her friend was suffering and having to be in a hospice, that she feels should be funded not by donations and like Sean having to run marathons to keep the places open. just my opinion you understand

If MySQL (the server for the British Speedway Forum) carries on going down more times than Paris Hilton, it's going to get my nomination for Flapperjack of the Week.

I've got to the stage where that doesn't bother me anymore with the amount of inane drivel on there at the moment . When the mods made it that you had to register to read the PL section , they inflicted allsorts of numpties on the rest of us .

Well, seeing as you asked Badge, most definately, yes!!! 99.99% of posts on that thread were genuine, and from the heart. One person choses to use it for their own agenda, and I for one, think that's bang out of order!!!

Suppose it's just how close one was to the family as to whether the post was deemed out of order or not . I dont know them at all and , although my heart goes out to Sean and his kids , maybe i had a more detached view on everything . I certainly didn't feel outraged by the post . But obviously people who did know them felt differently .

OK kev, fair enough, you and ML obviously feel quite strongly about this, and I don't want to make a big deal of your feelings over this.
My only concern is that your Mutts Nutts choice was absolutely spot on and done from the heart, and hopefully in time Sean may be able to come on here and feel the love that that was done for him and his family, but if he should perhaps come on here and read this about, from what I can understand is a close friend of his, perhaps he might be a bit bemused. This is the only reason honest.
