It's just a shame - in my view and that of rather a lot of others - that he can't get his PR a bit more polished. I hear Peterborough run an excellent course Oh steady on - I might not rate Mr Crump's manner particuarly highly, but I wouldn't go so far as to wish time spent in the company of Lord Flapperjack on him!!!

I'd quite like to go to the bollocks-spouting evening at Peterborough myself - but I have very little doubt that once Mick B saw me walk in he'd smell a sizeable rat! Have I mentioned that I moninate Jason Crump for FOTW just for being a tosser? I happen to like Jason Crump very much . He is not perfect by any means. I respect him as he is a brilliant speedway rider, I gather a decent husband and father. He is a good ambassador for this sport of ours and is usually there or there abouts with his love of the sport with team mates etc and a percentage of all his merchandise sales goes to a children's charity. He in my opinion is not a 'tosser' by any stretch. And as the son of my Speedway Hero, I have always found him to be great with the fans. He was surrounded at Stoke when he took the time to ride for Jan Staechmann's slideshow, and had all the time in the world for all of the kids (and adults). Maybe it was just an off night, I know that may sound lame, but we are all entitled to a bad day.

You called him a 'tosser'. That is blurring the fine line from my opinion and this thread is not about that at all from what I gather. Flapperjack if you like - but a 'tosser'?

I've always found Jason Crump to be good with fans and usually very polite. The one exception was several years ago when my hubby when chatting to Jason, called him Phil twice in as many minutes, Crumpy's face was a picture ;D

I've never met Jason Crump, never asked to take his photograph and I'm not particularly troubled if I never meet him. But overwhelmingly if he says he'll ride somewhere, he rides. And that scores him major points with me.
