This isn't going to be as clear cut as I first thought at the weekend. We've got one undisputed flapperjack from EoES, but is this week his week? I'm sure there'll be more to come from him before the season's out. We've now got a late runner making a strong charge in the form of Silver cheetah/bee/fairy. Again, does he deserve this weeks title as I'm certain they'll be more pearls of wisdom from him over the next few weeks too. I'm sorry to say, but I think Smillie & Pairman and others nominated are out of the running this week. It looks like it's a 2 horse race between the pikey from peterborough and fairy bee from brandon. decisions, decisions.

But Silver Cheetah Snr has surely just redeemed the family name with his thread at the BSF - catch it while you can. I've met Silver Cheetah Snr and he's a jolly decent fellow and I do think any attempt by Bratley or the cuckolded Peterborough mob to push him around is doomed to dismal failure.

I dunno Sub - Surely just because his Dad is fairly sensible doesn't mean that Silvecheetah/bee/fairy is any less of a complete KNOB! He's 18 now (I think) so he's an adult and is therefore responsible for his own actions - he's obviously chosen the path of 'flapperjackness' and should be rewarded with this week's award!

Silverbee is only 17 until October and I don't think we should have a minor (well, unless it was Arthur Scargill) as flapprejack of the week. So it HAS to go to Lord Flapperjack instead Wacks - there's no point saying he could win it any other week, coz look at the roll of honour, and where is his name? And it's not every week he comes out with a statement like he did last Saturday.

Looks like Mick Bratley's on flapperjack duty as we speak. He appears to be trawling the BSF looking for evidence of libel, when what I want, what I really, really want, is for him to reply to this post from Mr Snackette:
What a difference a couple of days in speedway make.
It was only on 19 August 2007, as part of his rabid attack / scurrilous remarks (delete as appropriate) directed against Ipswich fans and the members of the Ipswich Fans Forum, Bratley wrote:
"We have two British riders in our side this season - how many are in yours?"
Well we can now all answer, the same as yours mate!!! We would have had two but sadly he was injured at the start of the season. At least we didn’t bin him, and replace him with a foreigner!!
All the more amazing when Bratley then goes on to say: "We have helped both the British riders more than anyone in the side, providing them vehicles, engines, oil and lubricants via sponsorship deals. I think it a little unfair to imply we don't support British riders."
This comment does appear a little imprudent, bearing in mind that in less than 48 hours they were going to give one of their two Brits the "old tin tack".
Or could it indeed be the case, that perhaps the left hand not knowing what the right hand's doing, or indeed what he's doing with it!!!

I may be swayed if you change your nomination of the best team of the 90's. ;D OK. I'll change from Ipswich '98 to Wolves '96 ;D ;D Alright then. I assume it's 1992 version of the Racers you want me to pick, as opposed to the 1990 team which cheated their way to the double?

How could you '92 team was better tho and if I remember rightly we pissed the league by about 12 points. ;D Point taken on board regarding awarding FOW to a minor, that may not be in keeping with the spirit of the awards but if he's old enough & big enough to pick arguments with "grown ups" then he's maybe old enough to take the consequences too. Still not cut & dry though, Silver fairy not out of the woods yet and Mick Bratley is putting forward a strong case too. Could the pikey be out-flapperjacked at the last minute?

I'm sorry, but Silver Bee has redeemed himself somewhat with his post to Mick.

I'm sorry, but Silver Bee has redeemed himself somewhat with his post to Mick. Woohoo, that rules Silver Bee out of the equation. And with him out of the reckoning, I rescind my comment regarding Reading '92 being better than Ipswich '98... of course they weren't, it was just to get Wacks to pick Lord Flapperjack ahead of Silver Bee.... Ipswich '98 were a fabulous team... nearly as good as Oxford '86
