Sub, Right, now I have googled it, rather disappointingly "pillock" just means "stupid person" or "person of limited intelligence", that's nothing else behind it. Quite a boring insult then. All the best Rob Tell me Rob, As I think I know who Speedguy is and by your definition; if it is whom I think he is not a pillock as defined, I would be interested to know what he thinks about you with your potato thread?? And insisting on a forum poll... ;D Let them cast the first stone, or if you prefer kettle & black.. ;D All the best, Jim I don't think it is much of a secret who speedyguy is Jim.In fact i did find a forum "across the pond" that "outed" him as he was getting on their tits as well ;D

I don't know who speedguy is. And, to be honest, rather shamefully, I don't really care either.

File not found - 404. Derived from the room the main computer was in when the net was set up, I believe. I believe you're right, but the only net that was around when I was driving was the steel one between me and the punters! ;D I'm on form tonight with my useless trivia. I also know who Speedyguy is. ;D In the "great debate" I must admit I've never given stock cars a chance, nor do I have any particular inclination to, but neither would I be able to make a judgement until I've seen for myself.

At the risk of taking this thread off into the wilderness, it has always surprised me that the speedway crowd get so snooty about stock cars. Ok, you might not choose to watch them, they may not interest you, but I've seen folk get incredibly up tight about the subject. I think there are two differing views on this subject depending on the stadium the two sports share. In one corner you have the likes of Ipswich, Eastbourne and Lakeside where the two sports co-habitate, but on different tracks, and there seems to be no real problems arising from this scenario. But in the other corner you have the likes of Belle Vue where the two sports share the same track. Herein lies the problem - Stock Cars inevitably damage the track surface which can result in a dangerous track for speedway bikes if track maintenance is hindered by the weather, time, equipment etc. Inevitably, this leads to critisisim from speedway circles, wheras Stock Car are totally oblivious to any condition speedway can leave the surface in. Maybe this is why speedway fans sometimes appear anti Stock Cars and not the reverse?

I know stocks aren't everyone's tasse de the (see, I can do German too..........) but it would certainly liven things up if they formed up the F1 grid using the same rules ;D ;D Anyway, who the bloody hell is speedyguy? ?

Maybe this is why speedway fans sometimes appear anti Stock Cars and not the reverse? The really ironic thing is Kev, it would actually be beneficial for the stockers to have a seperate surface; contrary to popular speedway belief, stocks are now so advanced that the faster formulas require setups so different for different surfaces, the top drivers now have shale and tarmac cars, I'm sure they would appreciate not having the extra expense.
