Our Maccattack's favourite player is currently playing out of his skin . So much so his manager , wee Jimmy Krankie , has likened him to Christiano Ronaldo . While i cant stand the torn-faced little turd , i must confess his performance against Kilmarnock on Saturday was pretty impressive . Which begs the question - with Scotland only a few days away from their date with destiny against Italy , and the Republic of Ireland utter shite at present - what a mistake young greetinface made when he bowed to parental bigotry and pledged himself to the paddys instead of playing for the country of his birth . While i've no sympathy for him , what an exciting team Scotland would be if he had made the correct choice .

That was before he done his knee in

The whole thing has turned on it's head now . At one time no Scotland player was nowhere near good enough to hypothetically get in the England team . However , now , how many of the current England team would you have in the Scotland side . Answer - not many . Gerrard , Rooney AND THAT'S ABOUT IT .

You obviously know more than me about how he came to make the decision. So why was it parental bigotry?I thought Packie Bonner asked him.But i haven't read much on the subject of how or why he made the choice

As a fervent supporter of the Scottish national team i just find it so frustrating when you see a player with his undoubted ability , turn his back on the country of his birth . How exciting could Scotland be with McGeady playing for them . And that's the last compliment you'll get from me on the subject of the treacherous little turd . ;D

It is a difficult situation, but hopefully it gets better with every year.I do know Celtic fans who support Scotland. They tend to come from outwith Glasgow and the surrounding towns like Carfin,Croy ,etc.Where a large number have a siege mentality. But people up in the Highlands for instance are totally different and socialise and even travel to games with Rangers fans. But why would a footballer or fan want to be associated with groups who the whole year round hate them with a passion but for a few days when Scotland play? But glad to hear you appreciate real talent even when it is wearing the Hoops ;D
