Not the first time Hutton has impressed on the big stage this season - he's had a few excellent games for the "Hun" in the Champions League. Alan Hutton has established himself as the best right back in Britain at the moment . So Rangers will ultimately have to try and ward off potential suitors . However playing for Rangers is as good as it gets for any professional footballer so there is no reason to think he would want to drop down a grade and play in the premiership .

I think Paulco is in denial

Very hard luck England Wasn't hard luck at all - England have had all the luck, what with Israel beating Russia on Saturday. Fact of the matter is, Croatia comprehensively outplayed England tonight.

Anyway, I wouldn't be buying a paper tomorrow if I were young McLaren - they're likely to be brutal.

Shameful performance. McClaren still trying to prove he's come out from Sven's shadow by not including Beckham and going with a formation that's been proven not to work. His pride got in the way and we lost because of it. Hopefully that'll be the last we see of the manager.

The most unbelievable thing in all that happened is the complete cock up which has now re-occured. Rain was forecast well in advance just as it was for the American Football match the other week. Yet again the Wembley Overlords failed to make shutting the roof on the morning of the game the number one priority. "And someone told me Speedway was run by idiots" I think this shows where the idiots are. Perhaps they laid on an excuse in advance.

The Englandshire county team have been poor the whole campaign, still it shut John Bloody Motson up! Englandshire media are terrible, I mean did you know that Great Britain stops at the border!? Time for the return of the home nations tournament next summer!

It just keeps getting worse. From the BBC:
England will not be among the top seeds in the 2010 World Cup qualifying draw after their failure to reach Euro 2008. The defeat against Croatia has seen them drop to 12th place - and they have now been leap-frogged by Greece.
This means they are not in the top nine European countries in the draw when it is made in Durban on Sunday.
They are now in the group of second seeds and could possibly face Italy, France or Germany in a potentially hazardous qualifying group.
Scotland have dropped one place to 14th, meaning they will also be among the group of second seeds.
