Peter Waite coughing over for a round of drinks for everyone who attended Berwick's end-of-season presentation, that's weird. But even weirder, Jacek Rempala was announced as "Rider of the Year" in spite of apparently being unwelcome in the cruel, crazy town's team for 2008: www.berwickspeedway.co.uk/index.php?a=430

Only because Makovsky and Burza got injured - I think Makovsky would've been the expected choice.

Personally, I reckon Sam Martin should have won. He puts the effort in, but doesn't get the points - that's worrying.

Personally, I reckon Sam Martin should have won. He puts the effort in, but doesn't get the points - that's worrying. Sam is not a gater, and around Berwick, you HAVE to gate... well at least some of the time. Also, I think the long journey north eventually took its toll. He needs a racing track - somewhere like Somerset would be ideal for him.
