The GPs started in 1995 and here's how the 98 GP wins so far have been shared between the riders:
1..T Rickardsson..(SWE)..20 2..J Crump..(AUS)..16 3..T Gollob..(POL)..11 4..G Hancock..(USA)..8 5..N Pedersen..(DEN)..7 6=..B Hamill..(USA)..6 6=..H Nielsen..(DEN)..6 6=..L Adams..(AUS)..6 9..R Sullivan..(AUS)..4 10=..T Knudsen..(DEN)..3 10=..H Andersen..(DEN)..3 12=..M Loram..(GBR)..2 12=..A Jonsson..(SWE)..2 14=..B Andersen..(DEN)..1 14=..M Dugard..(GBR)..1 14=..B Pedersen..(DEN)..1 14=..C Harris..(GBR)..1
Out of the 98 GPs so far, the former British champion and global superstar has appeared in 54 of them and won a grand total of, as you can see above, none.

Interesting compilation. Bit rich asking Nicholls to win GP's though isn't it? I know there have been freaks, like Bjarne Pedersen and other sub-supreme riders winning a GP. But it's mainly shared between the top guys, and the likes of Nicholls, Holta and Bjarne aren't really contenders. However, if there ever was to be a Grand Prix in Vetlanda (God forbid) Holta would cake walk it.

The spread between countries is interesting. While britain and Australia have 3 different winners,Denmark have a massive 6 riders who have won a GP!.And sadly, you can't see another rider win for the US in the near future

Mark Loram won the World Title once. But he didn't win a G P in that year. Proves the system doesnt work always. Bring back the "One-Off" finals

If I remember right it was in the format of the two third or fourths and you were out. I think he was out in heat 1 and six rides later won the GP. Don't remember which one it was though, 2004 I think. I reckon Crumpy and Hampel would give Holta a good race round Vetlanda too.

Might as well keep this going. We've now had 101 and Tomasz Gollob added a another win to his impressive total:
1..T Rickardsson..(SWE)..20 2..J Crump..(AUS)..16 3..T Gollob..(POL)..12 4=..N Pedersen..(DEN)..8 4=..G Hancock..(USA)..8 6=..B Hamill..(USA)..6 6=..H Nielsen..(DEN)..6 6=..L Adams..(AUS)..6 9..R Sullivan..(AUS)..4 10=..T Knudsen..(DEN)..3 10=..H Andersen..(DEN)..3 10=..A Jonsson..(SWE)..3 13=..M Loram..(GBR)..2 14=..B Andersen..(DEN)..1 14=..M Dugard..(GBR)..1 14=..B Pedersen..(DEN)..1 14=..C Harris..(GBR)..1

Okay, a new Grand Prix winner last night, as Rune Holta became, technically, the second Pole to win a Grand Prix, so things now look like this:
1..T Rickardsson..(SWE)..20 2..J Crump..(AUS)..16 3..T Gollob..(POL)..12 4=..N Pedersen..(DEN)..8 4=..G Hancock..(USA)..8 6..L Adams..(AUS)..7 7=..B Hamill..(USA)..6 7=..H Nielsen..(DEN)..6 9..R Sullivan..(AUS)..4 10=..T Knudsen..(DEN)..3 10=..H Andersen..(DEN)..3 10=..A Jonsson..(SWE)..3 13=..M Loram..(GBR)..2 14=..B Andersen..(DEN)..1 14=..M Dugard..(GBR)..1 14=..B Pedersen..(DEN)..1 14=..C Harris..(GBR)..1 14=..R Holta..(POL)..1
Still no sign of the former British champion - he's now had SIXTY attempts.

Sub, you've missed out Freddie Lindgren. He's not there because, unlike the screaming imbecile, I'm not a cretin.

Okay, a while since we updated this, so here is the latest table:
1..T Rickardsson..(SWE)..20 2..J Crump..(AUS)..17 3..T Gollob..(POL)..13 4..N Pedersen..(DEN)..9 5..G Hancock..(USA)..8 6..L Adams..(AUS)..7 7=..B Hamill..(USA)..6 7=..H Nielsen..(DEN)..6 9..R Sullivan..(AUS)..4 10=..T Knudsen..(DEN)..3 10=..H Andersen..(DEN)..3 10=..A Jonsson..(SWE)..3 13=..M Loram..(GBR)..2 14=..B Andersen..(DEN)..1 14=..M Dugard..(GBR)..1 14=..B Pedersen..(DEN)..1 14=..C Harris..(GBR)..1 14=..R Holta..(POL)..1
Sadly, as you will note, the global superstar still isn't troubling the scorer. And he's now had SIXTY-THREE attempts.

Crump must be within a few points of beating Rickardsson's all time tally by now, mustn't he?
