The trouble is, I see it from both sides.
I work in the media, and I had no nerves at all sitting in that studio on Tuesday, it's second nature to me.
On the other hand, normally logical and articulate people completely go to pieces in that situation, a good example is Damon Hill at the last F1 GP; there's a bloke used to giving interviews and dealing with the media in pressure situations, knows his game, an intelligent and articulate guy; they put a mic in front of him and asked him to talk about a race for 2 hours, and he turned into a dribbling vegetable.
I know the score, and I've been encouraged for years to take part in various quiz shows by people that know me well and know what I do for a living; even though I wasn't nervous, I didn't do the best job for me or my team on the day, add in a bucketfull of nerves and you can see where it all goes wrong for some people.

I suppose, I do not intend to put myself in a situation like that so credit where credit is due to the brave souls who brave fame and fortune on TV quizzes.
Prize money on Eggheads up to £43000, some lucky buggers are going to win it.

Not been on yet - looks like a transmission date of sometime in October - I think.

According to my calculations, if they do what they said and run straight from the current series into the next one, I make it Tuesday 16th October.

Looks like we got bumped!
TV listings are suggesting that on the 17th of October there's some bloody obscure futball (sp?) meeting being shown; apparently some blokes from an almost unknown country (Scottishland or something) are kicking a pig's bladder around a field with some other blokes from Georgia (quite why the Scotch want to take on one of the Southern states of the USA is unclear) so it looks like we will be making our Earth shattering appearance on the 18th instead.
