So, with new British champion Chris Harris already in the GPs, the honour of being Wild Card for the British GP falls to second placed man David Howe. Congratulations to young Howe on his fine effort and best wishes to him in the GP. Let's all hope he hammers another nail into the GP coffer of the serial failure.

Well done to David Howe. I'm not convinced he would have beaten Eddie Kennett on a neutral track but he did it and has been duly rewarded. Wasn't impressed with bully boy Nicholls efforts to be honest nor his lack of congratulations to Bomber and Howe. Still he is what he is

Slowly but surely, young lady, the shadows that have clouded the judgement of some of our more chauvinistic brethen at the BSF are lifting. They're finally seeing what we've seen for quite some time. And that is, of course, that the former British champion is neither the rider he thinks he is or they think he is. I expect us to see more of him attempting to push his not inconsiderable weight around to counter his inability to match the best in the GPs. The trouble is, as he finds out time after time, is the top guys can't really be bullied in the way the likes of the EL fodder can be.
