Daniel Nermark may be heading for Barbaria, but Kevin Doolan is returning to King's Lynn for 2008 according to reports from the forum held tonight.

Think with Millsy buying a new house recently and taking on a mortgage he now has to get what he can out of speedway and can't say I blame him one bit. Guess it's a case of wait til next Wednesday to find out who remaining three places go to.
Think JLO is a bit of a nutter wanting to ride with the pin still firmly lodged in his leg, but his choice, he knows the consequences and they said last night he'd been advised against it. My personal opinion is that it could impede the team considerably. Still what the hell do I know? ;D

Good news for KL, but sad that Kev had to take this backward step, would have loved him in our team this year, but good luck to him for next season. Perhaps you will bring him back to the EL in 2009 when you are promoted

Although Doolan is a fine rider, he's probably realistic enough to know that the upper reaches of the sport are beyond him, so he seems to have made a sensible decision. I recall seeing in the Speedway Star last year that he was struggling with the amount of meetings he was getting (not enough), so with the PL expanded to potentially eighteen teams he should be kept busy enough. And I reckon that year in the top flight will have done him the world of good. I reckon he could well be top man in the PL next season. I well remember Andy Galvin (that'll send schumi's pulse racing) and the effect his year in the British League with Hackney had on his career. Prior to that season he was a 7-8 point man in the National League, whereas afterwards he was a 9-10 point man. I'd expect similar from Doolan.

I reckon Kev was gonna be in the KL EL team had it not all fell through and obviously decided that he'd stay anyway in the hope of going up next season if we win promotion, that'll be very hard given some of the teams being built!!
Apparently Dan wasn't available on loan again and KL wouldn't pay for his contract but Worky would and good luck to them ...........................
