After the fury about Bernard Manning tonight comic/ actor Mike Reid best known as Frank Butcher (he who was shagging Fat Pat bless him) has passed away. That's probably what finished him of but hey he was a funny guy on stage!
I remember him more when I was a youngster hosting tv show 'runaround' and always thought he was the coolest bloke on TV. I'm quite sad that he has passed away so RIP Mike a top bloke and a great comedian!

I know that I will be giving my age away here, but I can remember seeing Mike Reid when he first started up as a stand up comedian when he used to do turns at the pub in Dagenham where he came from. He was a star from the start, but unfortunately, like Bernard Manning, Stan Boardman etc his humour didn't toe the line with the "new age politically correct crap" we all have to adhere to now. There is no humour any more on TV and in the media, for fear of upsetting some soft hearted twat who can't take it. You can't even tell a joke about a dog any more in case the Animal Liberation lot get offended. W anchors the lot of 'em !!!
RIP Mike Reid, and thank you so much for all the good laughs you gave us when you were allowed to. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sad news and a relatively young age for these days, but no doubt he led a full & fruitful life.
RIP Mike
