1 Daniel Nermark 2 Charles Wright 3 Carl Stonehewer 4 Craig Branney 5 Kauko Nieminen 6 John Branney 7 Joe Haines
Workington's plan is pretty clear to see for 2008 as they have three great heat leaders followed by four up and coming riders that they hope to see valueable points come from.
Joe Haines is hoping to score well enough to move into the main body of the team and hold that position down and he is well capable of doing that and will give every race 100% effort.
Daniel Nermark's connections with Wolves will be there to help Joe out along with the other youngsters and no doubt Stoney's experience and attitude will help the younger members settle down easier.
Looks to be an interesting season ahead for Worky this year.

It looks like Workington's hopes for the season have suffered a severe setback, with early indications from Telford suggesting that Craig Branney's broken his leg in two places.

Yes, looks like they'll be needing a replacement. From www.speedwayworld.tvBranney crashed heavily into the outside wall on the second bend of Heat 11 having clipped Phil Morris on the way in, and indications are that he has sustained multiple fractures to his leg, which will put him out of Workington's plans for the immediate future.

So that's Craig's and Workington's planning out the window before we've even turned a wheel in anger . Why do promoters allow their riders to compete in nonsense like Telford - beats me . Anyway get well soon Craig and i hope you find a team slot when you are fit .

Why do promoters allow their riders to compete in nonsense like Telford - beats me . The only way promoters would be able to do that, would be to employ the riders and include a clause in their contract forbidding such bookings. The riders are self-employed and can ply their trade wherever and whenever they see fit. A contract with a British team is just that.........a contract to ride for whatever team, but is not, and cannot be exclusive.

I'm just glad no Glasgow riders were involved at Telford . I even hate Glasgow riders guesting for other teams during the season .
