Just over 24 hours till the Arse goes to his first Speedway event, Sub is coming to hold my hand, YES I SAID HAND.
Strangely I'm looking forward to it, no doubt "old carpet slippers" himself will keep me informed of who is shite and so on.
So this time Sunday my load will be shot, figuratively speaking. ;D

The token Scotsman is riding number three for Redcar ;D

Well my load is definitely shot...... Workington 56 V Redcar 36... a bit of a rout really. Well we turned up, me, the wife and the old Mongol himself, no driving shoes this time but Gucci Loafers. So we positioned ourselves, middle for diddle along the back straight to watch what turned out to be a bit of a one sided encounter. The old Sub answering all of my question about the bikes, track, best teams and such. Well I have to say it was fucking freezing, the burger was below average and Redcar were shite, I feel sorry for the Redcar supporters who made the trip over to deepest Dumbria. However you get the smells and the noise that you don't get watching on the TV. All I can really say now is...... It was a bit like first time sex as a teenager, the anticipation was there, the moment came and it was over but you're all smiles cause you know that you will do it again and next time it's bound to be better

Yes, rather a dreary old meeting, I'm afraid. A couple of decent enough passes, but that was about all - Nieminen's overtake of Havelock prior to the latter's engine failure in Ht 13 being the pick. But you really need a bit of a closer result to maintain the interest - in spite of keeping it close early on, Redcar were always likely to be overwhelmed and they were. Still, the McCs seemed to enjoy themselves and that was the main thing.

Give it another go . It's a shame when your first meeting is one-sided - if only you had been at Workington the previous week when the two teams served up a cracker . Last season i took my works apprentice to Glasgow v Mildenhall , which was also a bit one-sided and to tell the truth - boring . Needless to say he hasn't been back since .

Probably let down by the fact there weren't enough Aussies in either team. ;D

Well another go I gave it, another one sided show, this time at the Covenrty versus Lakeside, This was a bit more entertaining than Workington, bigger crowd, smoke where you like attitude, that was good and saw the beggar. He had a better than average points scoring on the night but only won one race. Didn't get to meet young(ish) Jaques but hay ho. PS the sausage roll and chips were shite

Could've been worse - it could have been Robins-Ippo you went to. The only consolation is that the food is a bit better. Local beer's shite though.

I picked up Speedway at Cardiff 2003.
TBH, I never wish I got involved with the pain and the general sham that the sport is at times.
I have enjoyed watching Premier League this year - it's managed to provided a league with variety without a lot of bullshit

However, the trip to Bydgoszcz uncomplicated things and rediscovered my love but I am running on low this season.
With a bit of pop in my pocket, I hope to do all the E-liga tracks next season and Byd where-ever they will be.
